I'm super thrilled about presenting work made for this year's #oscars. @theacademy has been a dream client, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity. Big thanks to Ford and Peter and the rest of the team. I am looking forward to share more! #magnusvollmathiassen by @mvm_magnus

Can concepts: Between 2018 and early 2025 I was the designer for Disko Brewing. During the different stages in the design process you end up with material you like that doesn't fit the bill for the specific product and/or the audience. Often these scraps are what I tend to like more than the end product. To me these are just as good as the ones that pushed them off the podium. Some even better? #magnusvollmathiassen #beerdesign #beerlabel #sodapopdesign #sodadesign by @mvm_magnus

The quest for finding my true inner child and true technique has led me to my current weapon of choice: the ballpoint pen and tiny stamp sized drawings. Some of these I've tried to brush up a bit, but not too much. When I look at these I think I should get weirder. There's just so much weird stuff that needs a place to live. Not much normal stuff, a tiny percentage super boring normality in my mental garden, the rest is coconuts🥥 Song: Inspiration by The Creatures #magnusvollmathiassen #ballpointartwork by @mvm_magnus

A flower and some stuff. Been listening 🎧 a lot to Software this year. Klaus Schulze's label Innovative Communication released their music. If you got that Tangerine Dream itch, give it a listen. #magnusvollmathiassen #innovativecommunicationrecords by @mvm_magnus

Can concepts: Between 2018 and early 2025 I was the designer for Disko Brewing. In total around 60+ beer and soda cans were made, mostly singular, unique designs. Of course a lot of other material is made when handling a brand, but on center stage were the vessels for the golden fluid. During the different stages in the design process you end up with material you like that doesn't fit the bill for the specific product and/or the audience. Often these scraps are what I tend to like more than the end product. I will go through the archive and post more discarded concepts. Well, in my mind these are just as good as the ones that pushed them off the podium. Some even better? #magnusvollmathiassen #beerdesign #beerlabel #sodapopdesign #sodadesign by @mvm_magnus

One of the last projects I did as the designer for Disko Brewing was DISKOBRUS (brus means soda pop in Norwegian). It was designed as a standalone brand next to all the beers, and to have a great shelf impact. The icon figure (mascot) was based on a character from an old Norwegian stamp, depicting a snowman. Only two flavours have been released so far. #magnusvollmathiassen #sodalabel #sodapopdesign #sodadesign #beerpackaging sodapackaging sodapopackaging packagingdesign gestalten sodapackagingdesign sodapopbranding packaging labeldesign labelsdesign packagingideas sodapopillustration branding illustration sodapoplabeldesign sodalabel beveragebranding sodapoplabels brandingdesign by @mvm_magnus
