I can’t even explain how heartbroken I feel, and it’s really hard to accept the fact that you’re not here anymore. I’m so grateful that God gave us the time we had together, and we truly made the absolute best of it. I’ll miss your personality, I’ll miss clowning you about your clothes, and how you truly didn’t care what people thought! 😂 Your presence was unmatched and one of a kind! You were an AMAZING dad, and I’m so glad you knew how much we loved you and would go to war for you—and we STILL will!

I’m happy you got to see me get engaged, but I’m shattered that you won’t get to walk me down the aisle because it was all we talked about lately, and you were so excited. You told me you were ready for grandchildren, and I know you would’ve been the coolest grandpa. I’m at peace knowing you feel free and at rest. I know you’re up there with Grandma, Poppi, Mackie, and Marcus.

FINALLY got to see Wale perform after 16 years! 😭 he’s been to New York so many times over the years, but it just never worked out where I was able to go to the concert.

I have to share the backstory that most people don’t know, but my bro @blvckpics who was there from the start was😂.

Aight so boom, when I met my husband almost 19 years ago, when I was around 15, he introduced me to Wale’s music. Fast forward a few years to when we reconnected at 18, and Wale dropped More About Nothing ( STILL on of my faves).

This is where I say I bagged my husband. 😂

At the time, we were just friends who kept in touch every now and then. The mixtape dropped, and I had already downloaded it on day one from datpiff (IYKYK), listened to every song, and picked out all my favorites.

So I then texted him:

“Heyyyyy… so I heard Wale dropped a mixtape. Where can I download it?”

GOTTTEMMMMM. 😂

Fast forward again to the end of 2024, and Matrimony became our engagement song and the song my husband walked down the aisle to at our wedding.

A full-circle night with so much sentimental meaning for us for a lot more reasons but just a quick story. Back into my bubble I go.😂😂😂

17 voiceovers later and still not perfect, but here we are. 😂

This trip reminded me that sometimes you just need a different room.

Not because someone will change your life, but because being around people taking action makes what’s possible feel real.

For me, it was a push to finish what I’ve already started: the blog, the ideas in my notes app, and yes, YouTube, an agency 👀. Things I’ve worked on and never shared.

I love journaling, but some thoughts are easier said than written—and let’s be honest, not all of ya’ll are reading all that anyway. 😂

So I’ll be showing up on YouTube too finally as my bro @blvckpics has been telling me to for some time now.
