Happy #fighterfriday !

And this is my first Fighter Friday post 😂

But here are some more shots from my latest build. The BF109 K4 1/72 by @eduardmodels

A lovely kit and with all the details it looks like a larger scale kit!

I‘m looking forward to the next kit on my bench. But what will it be?

Have a great weekend my friends ❤️

The next full build will be the Panther Ausf G from @daswerkmodels
It was great to build and to try a Zemmerit technique with putty.

This Panther should be a replica from@the version which is a exhibition subject at the Museum in Koblenz.

Unfortunately I missed to replicate the infrared night vision. But I am very proud that the main scheme looks quite similar to the original from the museum.

I start to edit the video after the @scale_model_challenge this weekend

Next kit on the bench is @eduardmodels new Royal Hybrid P51b Mustang in 1/32 scale.

Let’s find out how this will challenge me 🤪

From out of nowhere!

There was silence in the past weeks.

This time it wasn’t possible to show anything because this kit was a spontaneous birthday present for a friend of mine who turned 30 last Saturday.

I’m happy to show you my very first civilian car!

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS by @tamiya_inc_jp

It was a great experience and to be hontest? I absolutely never expected, that I could achieve this level of metallic finish, which was also my biggest fear to fail.

But thanks to @scaling_slav who gave me the right kick in my aaa.

I tried to imitate carbon on the seats and roll cage, add custom racing seat belts with masking tape and 3d printed buckles and of course a tiny peace of @getzmini Black Magic Metal (maybe you guess what it is 🤪)

Because the birthday was on Saturday and I finished it in time, there was no time to take some nicer photos as usual. There will be a video as well but this will take some time.

Anyway. I looking forward to let me know your thoughts on that 🤘🏼
And I’m sure. This isn’t my last car!

Have a great day, greetings
David

MPP Meets Volume 2

🇺🇸In June I started my new series on YouTube “MPP Meets”.

In this new series I take a closer look at relevant companies and people who matter in our scale model world.

In my first video, I met @mbk_modellbau and took a closer look behind the scenes how they packed my order and they answered some questions.

Now in my second video, which will be filmed on 29th of July, I will meet @anyzmodels

I’m sure some of you know him!

For this time I want to collect some questions, what do you like to know about him, his products etc.?

I collect them and pick some of them.

Stay tuned, thanks for participating cheers!
David

🇩🇪

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to have the chance to write for Tamiya Germanys blog.

Last time I wrote in general about scales and how to pick the right model for the very first build.

Now I continue this with one of two Corsair.

This time I start with a F4U 1D, out of the box. This should be a guide for those who start with this glory hobby and need a visual manual.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

@mbk_modellbau wird 25 Jahre alt.

David

Congratulations!

Modellbau König is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

This seemed like a great opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at Germany’s largest online retailer of plastic model kits and see how an order is put together and shipped.

The video demonstrates Kardex’s new storage system, which is used to store all kinds of small parts.
For more information on Kardex’s automated storage systems, visit:

https://hubs.li/Q04kW1YF0

Christian Schiller, the face of Modellbau König, was kind enough to show me around with his colleague Nadine and answer a few questions.

Is my order just for me? Who knows—maybe there’s a giveaway running until June 30, 2026. Maybe you have to post a comment with the hashtag #heißerscheiß to enter the giveaway.

By the way, this is my first video of this kind, and I hope there will be more to come. Who would you like to see in another video?
Do you have any ideas for what to call this format?
Let me know and write your suggestions in the comments!

Ladies and gentlemen.

I just finished my very first Eduard kit and I want to show you some of my beauty shots.

The BF109 K4 Kurfürst in 1/72 scale.

And at the same time it is my first german warbird from WWII.

I‘m very happy about the result

I can’t wait to build another warbird. Some are in my stash and waiting for my bench 😁

I hope you like the result. And if you have any suggestions what I could have done better, please let me know.

And of course, there will be a YouTube full build video soon!

Greetings
David

@eduardmodels BF109 K4 1/72 🚧 ⚠️

Last night I added some oil streaks to the model and chipping effects with @akinteractive.official weathering pencil. Not sure if I’m satisfied enough with the top side.

What do you think?
