15 young directors, 15 unique stories, 15 short films under 60 seconds! 🎬✨

Over an incredible week, a group of brilliant young people in our Arts Council at Ron Dearing took complete creative control to script, shoot, and edit their very own micro-films. Each short film is a personal snapshot—exploring and expressing who they are in their own voice.

Each film is under a minute long and serves as a powerful personal expression of who they are. The variety has been absolutely mind-blowing—we’ve got everything from creative stop-motion animations to cinematic films shot entirely on mobile phones. 📱🎞️

The students didn't just stop at filming; they mastered editing and some even recorded their own custom music and audio tracks to bring their visions to life! 🎹🎧

"I have found the week very enjoyable and had a massive sense of achievement when we got to screen our videos. I have learnt a lot this week and would love to do it again."

Huge thanks to Peter for working with these over an intense and very warm week! What a way to end their final week at school before the summer break!

👀 Keep your eyes peeled! We will be showcasing these final videos across our social media and website over the coming weeks. You won't want to miss them!

We’ve done these drawings for a new NHS Childrens Building to make it more friendly and welcoming. We’ve heard that people request to go to the hot air ballon room, which is lovely. ✏️ 🎨😁 by @my_pockets

We've made this film for The Recruitables. A wonderful group of young people who are care experienced. They want businesses to hire more young people who have been in care. And why wouldn't you? They are brilliant people. The project was supported by the @thewarrenyp and we loved making it. by @my_pockets
