Generation Hull

15 young directors, 15 unique stories, 15 short films under 60 seconds! 🎬✨

Over an incredible week, a group of brilliant young people in our Arts Council at Ron Dearing took complete creative control to script, shoot, and edit their very own micro-films. Each short film is a personal snapshot—exploring and expressing who they are in their own voice.

Each film is under a minute long and serves as a powerful personal expression of who they are. The variety has been absolutely mind-blowing—we’ve got everything from creative stop-motion animations to cinematic films shot entirely on mobile phones. 📱🎞️

The students didn't just stop at filming; they mastered editing and some even recorded their own custom music and audio tracks to bring their visions to life! 🎹🎧

"I have found the week very enjoyable and had a massive sense of achievement when we got to screen our videos. I have learnt a lot this week and would love to do it again."

Huge thanks to Peter for working with these over an intense and very warm week! What a way to end their final week at school before the summer break!

👀 Keep your eyes peeled! We will be showcasing these final videos across our social media and website over the coming weeks. You won't want to miss them!
