Salon owners who employ, this one’s for you. From January 2027, ordinary unfair dismissal changes from a 2-year to a 6-month qualifying period. So, are you setting new team members up to succeed? 👇 🎯 Do they understand their targets? 💇‍♀️ What does good client retention look like? 📅 What do you expect around rebooking? Also, this isn’t a ‘6-month safe period’ for dismissals. Other protections can apply from day one. Set your people and salon up to succeed. 📖 Read the blog or book a free 20-minute 1-to-1 strategy call via the link in our bio. #SalonBusiness #HairSalon #BeautySalon by @my_salon_manager
⭐️ What salon doesn’t want great reviews. But are you actually listening to what your clients are telling you? Reviews can help you win new clients, but they can also tell you a lot about the clients you already have. What do they love? What could be better? And would you know if something wasn’t right? I’ve been talking to Adam from @SalonSpy about this, and it got me thinking about reviews very differently. They’re not just five stars for Google. They’re feedback you can use to improve your business. 📖 Read the blog, link in bio @salonspy #NotAnAd by @my_salon_manager
👀 If you’re recruiting, have a look at your job advert before you post it. Are you simply listing the basics; pay, holiday, pension and commission, or are you showing someone why they would want to work for your salon? What makes your salon stand out? We’ve explored this and more in our latest recruitment blog, from keeping the door open to looking beyond the CV. Salon owners: what makes your salon a great place to work? SSP changes are now in effect, but I think the real impact for salons will show up quietly over time. Not just in payroll. In diaries, team pressure, consistency, and management. I pencilled a few thoughts after speaking with salon owners recently in our most recent blog. 🔗 The links in the bio. #SalonBusiness #SalonOwner #SalonManagement #HairSalonBusiness #TipInASnip by @my_salon_manager
You’ve put your salon prices up for April. ✂️ And it still feels… tight. Here’s why. Price increases don’t usually fail because clients complain. They fail because of small shifts no one notices at first. • Visits stretch • Rebooking softens • Retail dips • Frequency drops Three months later, profit feels thinner. 📉 I’ve written a short blog breaking down exactly what to watch and why checking your P&L in month three matters more than most salon owners realise. 📊 If you’re running a salon in 2026, this is worth five minutes. 💙 Busy salon ≠ profitable salon I’m seeing this come up a lot right now. Diaries look healthy. Teams are working hard. But the numbers still feel tight. When that happens, it’s rarely about the service your team are providing. More often, pricing, timings or costs have quietly shifted over time. With wage expectations rising again in 2026 💷, pricing needs to support both your team and the salon business. We’ve shared some practical thinking in a short blog 🧠✂️ 🔗 Link in bio if it’s useful. #TipInASnip #SalonOwner #SalonManager #SalonPricing #SalonBusiness MySalonManager by @my_salon_manager

Most salon owners don’t love performance chats, we get it. They can feel awkward, heavy, or a little too personal. But when done well, they’re not about pressure; they’re about progress. They help build trust, confidence, and culture, the same things that keep a salon strong. 💙 Our new blog shows how to start small, talk openly, and use data to guide the conversation. 🔗 Read now via the link in bio. #MySalonManager #SalonLeadership #SalonCoaching #SalonGrowth by @my_salon_manager
