Introducing Le Kafta Élégant, a collaboration between myself and @hajjnasr.lb 🇱🇧🤝 After weeks of research, development, and ingredient sourcing, we’re proud to present our concept sandwich, available for just $17.50. And yes, the price is justified. Our homemade healthy pita bread is crafted from heritage wheat grown exclusively on our private land in the Bekaa Valley, harvested by hand under optimal moonlight conditions. Our kafta is made from 100% pure organic, boneless, grass-fed beef from free-range cows that also supply the milk for our artisanal cheese. Our toum and mayo contain absolutely no oil. Instead, we use premium, locally sourced, flavorless yogurt. (The tarboush we drizzle on top of the sandwich is complimentary by the way) Our first 12 sandwiches sold out yesterday, so hurry up and order yours before they’re gone! Le Kafta Élégant. Chicken Caesar Sandwich Fun facts about the Caesar Salad: • The Fourth of July Rush: Caesar Cardini created the salad during a massive holiday rush on July 4, 1924, when his restaurant ran low on supplies and he had to improvise with whatever was left in the kitchen. • Eaten with Your Fingers: The original version was designed as a finger food. Guests were served whole romaine lettuce leaves so they could pick them up by the stem and dip them into the dressing. • No Anchovies in the Original: Cardini’s original recipe did not contain whole anchovies. The salty, savory flavor came entirely from a dash of Worcestershire sauce. The addition of anchovies came later from his brother Alex or other competing chefs. • Tableside Theater: To make the improvised dish feel special, Cardini prepared and tossed the salad dramatically right at the table in front of his guests. by @mybrotherschef
