Mycelia House is made by hand and machine both, through ceramic 3D-printing and slip-casting.

Each 3d-printed vessel is 100 layers and 300 metres of filament, hand finished, fired and glazed in small batches in Sydney.

Small air bubbles. Faint marks on the surface. A slight difference between the lid and the vessel. None of it affects how the piece works. It’s a natural expression of the material and making process.

Fungi Friday 02

@giulifungi is doing exceptional work on everything fungi !!

“Language creates reality.”

Language is important for how we relate to, experience and perceive life.

Did you know that fungi was only recognised as its own kingdom in 1969 ...

Before this fungi were considered plants. This is wild — knowing now how differently they operate.

Thanks to the work of Giuliana Furci and @fungifoundation “funga” was added to the Cambridge English Dictionary this year.
