POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
You will see me make reels on the nervous system.
You will see me make MANY reels on the soul (mind, will, and emotions).

Both our soul and body are an ESSENTIAL part of our mental and emotional well-being, and unfortunately are often not talked about enough in the Body of Christ.

BUT, you will also see me talk about the SPIRITUAL side of things because we are: spirit, soul, and body.

And each part impacts the other parts.

You soul impacts your spirit.
Your body impacts your soul.
They all impact one another, and when one part suffers, it impacts the other parts โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

God desires us to steward each part (1 Thess 5:23), and when we learn how to disciple our spiritual gifts, I have seen time and time again how it has an amazing healing impact on the soul. I simply cannot ignore this!

Because the gifts were meant to help, but they can hurt us if no one teaches us how to administrate them properly and take care of our soul and body in the process ๐Ÿ™

What do you think?
Is this news to you? Is this something you have experienced or heard before?

Let me know!

Much love to you dear Church,
Ann-Marie

I think that a lot of the "emotions are deceitful" and "just pray it away" messages in the Body of Christ didn't actually come from studying the Bible...

It came from teachers and preachers who didn't know how to feel their own feelings. Who maybe had negative experiences with emotions, and reactively taught from that place.

I take this to heart myself: we have to be very careful not to build theology from our experience and our own paradigm, we must rightly divide the Word of truth, and always with the heartbeat of the Author.

And God is very emotionally intelligent.
He doesn't tell us to live from our feelings, yes... but He never said suppress them either ๐Ÿ™

Even Jesus was very emotionally embodied. So we don't have to look any further than Him to discern "emotions are deceitful and can't be trusted" doesn't even make sense ๐Ÿซถ

Much love to you dear Christian, its okay to feel to heal โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿง

โœจ Many Christians accidentally skip feeling their feelings. We want to jump right over pain and rush to hope. But the Psalms show us another way. โžก๏ธ

๐Ÿ’ก Spiritual bypassing happens when we think our feelings instead of feeling them.

We just add scripture on top of unprocessed pain. For example, saying โ€œthe joy of the Lord is my strengthโ€ (true and beautiful!) but using it to avoid grief.

The Psalms give us a healthier process: about 40% of them are lament. They teach us that going into the valley with God is how we find real healing.

๐Ÿ’” In the valley:

โ€ข We express emotions instead of stuffing them down
โ€ข The Shepherd meets us and binds up our wounds โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน (Psalm 34:18)
โ€ข Our nervous system regulates
โ€ข Endorphins are released โ†’ improving mood and reducing pain
โ€ข Cortisol lowers โ†’ stress is released
โ€ข Trauma begins to heal as God restores us

๐ŸŒฑ When we go through the valley, hope becomes real. Joy, peace, and strength are not forced. They flow from a healed place.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ We have to feel so that God can heal.

๐Ÿ“– Scripture reminds us itโ€™s okay to lament:

โ€ข โ€œPour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.โ€ (Psalm 62:8)
โ€ข โ€œHow long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?โ€ (Psalm 13:1-2)

โœจ Processing emotions with God is not weakness. It is worship.

Much love,
Ann-Marie ๐ŸŒฟ

What could God do in you if you let Him into every part of your soul?

During Soul Health Sunday, Ann-Marie Covert shared a simple but powerful part of her story:
โ€œI healed. I let God in my soul. Thatโ€™s all I did.โ€

Sometimes healing begins with letting God into the places weโ€™ve kept closed off.

If you missed this conversation, we invite you to watch the full Soul Health Sunday message on the Ryan LeStrange Facebook page or YouTube channel.

The gift is real, but so is the weight that can come with it.

You can love God, serve people, and be sensitive to His voice while still having areas of your own life that need care. We need rest. We need healthy boundaries. And sometimes, we need to be honest about the places where weโ€™re still healing.

Thatโ€™s part of why Iโ€™m looking forward to Soul Health Sunday with Ann-Marie Covert. Weโ€™re making room for an honest conversation about emotional health and spiritual sensitivity, including some of the questions we donโ€™t always know how to ask.

Is that discernment or an unhealed wound?

Sometimes it takes courage to ask ourselves that question.

What weโ€™ve been through can shape what we notice, how we respond, and what we assume about people. Learning to recognize the difference matters.

Join me and Ann-Marie Covert this Sunday for Soul Health Sunday as we talk about emotional health, spiritual sensitivity, and what it looks like to allow God to bring healing to the places that still need it.

Unfortunately, I have seen how "take your thoughts captive" and "renew your mind" have been limited to such an unfair and unhelpful interpretation.

We essentially told Christians, "If you change your thoughts, you will change your life," ... "So just think better thoughts."

But that is not biblical mind renewal.
It is also not neuroscience.

Neuroscience and psychology have uncovered that the body and our emotions are essential parts of neuroplasticity. And if we know how to look for it, the Bible has actually told us this all along โค๏ธ๐Ÿง

Your brain is more than just your thoughts.

Mind renewal is too.

I pray this is insightful and helpful. ๐Ÿ™ People will be set free when they have permission to bring their trauma and lived experiences into their healing and transformation process.

This REALLY matters.

God bless you, dear Christians โค๏ธ

I was rattled pretty deeply this week, when God's healing presence broke out during a coaching call when we were discussing soul health.

I was left crying out to God... "we have cheated Christians out of their healing!!" โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

I was rejoicing and grieving at the same time. Both were fully true in that moment.
It was complex and profound.

I also knew in that moment, I needed to write about it.

If you take the time to read this article, please let me know your thoughts.

Also, please forgive any grammatical things, I am working on it โค๏ธ

Bless you,
