🇺🇸 It was a great pleasure to visit the North End Historical Museum, a true gem in the heart of Boston’s North End, bringing to life the history of one of the city’s most distinctive neighborhoods.

Sincere congratulations to Tom Damigella, President of the North End Historical Society, and the entire Board of Directors for their outstanding work in creating this wonderful museum. Heartfelt thanks also to entrepreneur Frank DePasquale for his generous support.

This place holds a special meaning. At an important point in its history, the North End became home to generations of Italians. Its story is therefore also the story of Italian Americans in Boston: their journey, their contributions to the city, and their integration into its social and cultural fabric.

A must-visit destination for anyone wishing to discover Boston’s rich history and learn more about the communities that have helped shape its vibrant identity.

Part 5: (This one is special!) The Saint Anthony Feast in Boston’s North End. Paul of @massiminosboston invites me to his aunt’s house, which is one of the biggest stops of the Saint Anthony procession. His Aunt and Uncle lower their calendars of pinned donations from their balconies. This part of the North End really felt like being in Italy. The balcony, the narrow streets, and Italian being spoken. This was an exhilarating experience. Something the camera may not capture effectively, is the electric feeling in the air. Love, excitement, proudness, and all of the powerful emotions that embraced us. Paul’s aunt makes food for an army and after the Saint continues on in procession, her home is still opened so that the families and society members can come in at their leisure and enjoy trays of food that she has spent days prepping and hours upon hours cooking. This might very well have been the most authentic experience in all of my years documenting Italian neighborhoods/enclaves, feasts and churches in America for the last 14 years. A truly phenomenal experience and one that I will cherish forever. Thank you, Paul, for inviting me into your family’s home to share in such a sacred tradition. I am truly grateful and honored.

Part 4: Boston’s @stanthonysfeast - the procession passes the State Street Bank which is lit with the 🇮🇹 ! We’re able to glean some information from our amazing friend @bonetti_ivana , whose family among many other North End families, continues the procession from 12pm well past 8-9pm. Of course, there’s always “some” confetti 🎊 😉

Part 3: The Feast of Saint Anthony in Boston’s North End. Mass is held outdoors on the stage. Blessed bread and lilies are handed out. Afterwards, we got to see @bonetti_ivana’s new act, which was hysterical. We then worked our way to the @stanthonysfeast society club house for a couple of drinks and to soak in all of the great photos adorning its walls.

What a magical and unforgettable experience! 🇮🇹❤️

Being part of Saint Anthony’s Feast was truly special for the entire Michael Kelly Injury Lawyers team. We loved celebrating this incredible Boston tradition, meeting so many wonderful people, and sharing such memorable moments with our community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and made this weekend so special. We’re grateful to have been part of it and already looking forward to the next one!
