Did you know interviewing for PA school put as much pressure on you as it does the school?

Schools are looking for good fit and competitive students, but you need to be doing the same for the school.

Got bad vibes? Don’t say yes to attending the school.

One of my most memorable moments was when Larry told us not to be nervous and that interviews go both ways. Without second thought, I knew that the was program I wanted to attend.

9 years later, I have zero regrets.

Last week on our monthly Hub Q&A a student told me she was worried she was not doing enough to prepare for PA school. We reviewed her six month plan. The one we built together in her first month. We walked through the fall, the winter, and the spring before CASPA opens.

By the end of the call she was not worried anymore.

Not because anything had changed. But because she could see the whole picture instead of just the part she was standing in.

Most pre-PA students figure out what they should be doing by watching other pre-PA students. But the person you are comparing yourself to has not been through this process either. They are guessing too. They are just guessing louder.

Comparison does not prepare you. It just makes you feel behind.

What actually moves the needle is knowing what is right for your specific journey, at this specific point in time, based on where you actually are. Not where someone else is.
