It’s official! The 𝑴𝒚 𝑷𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝑲𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 is now ready to order and soon to be in your hands. 🥳

This whole thing has been such a wild ride and I honestly can’t thank you enough for being part of it. From testing recipes to cheering me on through every single Amazon glitch, you’ve been here for it all.

I hope this book makes your everyday cooking a little easier and a lot more delicious

Comment APPLE and I’ll send you the recipe 🍎 Or click the link in bio.

You might recognize this one! The apple berry granola crisp from my cookbook has been a favourite, so this fall I gave it the full apple treatment. Tender, cinnamony apples tucked under that same crunchy granola topping, and it’s every bit as easy.

It’s perfect for using up a big bag of Ontario apples, and even better warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. 🍨

Want the original apple berry version? It’s in my cookbook, My Pocket Kitchen. Link in my bio. 📖

Hearty beef and vegetable soup loaded with ground beef, potatoes, mushrooms, and spinach. Everything happens in one pot and it tastes like it simmered all day, but it only needs 30 minutes of cook time.

My secret? A Parmesan rind tossed right into the broth and a splash of vinegar at the end to balance things out. Trust me on this one.

Comment “beef soup” and I’ll send the link straight to your DMs 👇

Our annual backcountry camping trip is in the books and what a time we had! Tried out a new spot on Red Horse Lake in North Frontenac. Beautiful little lake with a few nicely maintained tent sites. We had our own little island 🙌

We had 6 hours of rain one day but managed to keep ourselves, and each other, entertained while Lola mostly slept in the tent 😂 Otherwise the weather was spectacular!

As you can tell we did not suffer. Food and drinks were a-plenty (of course) and the best part? Spending quality time with my beautiful husband submerged in the breathtaking landscape of eastern Ontario 🇨🇦❤️🐕🛶⛺️

Who else here in my little community loves camping? Let me know where you like to go and what your favourite meal is!

Comment TOMATO for the recipe 🍅 If your garden (or your farmers market haul) has you drowning in tomatoes right now, this one’s for you. Roast, blend, done, and yes, you can skip peeling the tomatoes entirely. Peppers are the only ones that need a peel, and I show you an easy way to do it.

It’s that time of year again! If you grow your own cucumbers, you might be trying to figure out what to do with them all. I can’t keep up with mine this year and I only have one plant!

Add this Thai style cucumber salad to your cucumber recipe collection. It’s refreshing, comes together fast, and keeps for a few days in the fridge. The perfect side to your fave grilled proteins, stir fries, and more.

Comment CUCUMBER and I’ll shoot you the recipe 🥳

It’s also on pg. 43 of my new COOKBOOK.

Also, let me know what you’re doing with all the cucumbers. I’d love to hear from you! I’ve been away from IG for a while and am missing my peeps 🥰

On Wednesday morning I had the honour of being interviewed on CBC Radio’s Ontario Morning. It was a total “pinch me” moment as I’ve been a listener for years! I was beyond nervous (shitting my pants actually 🤫), but Ramraajh is such a wonderful interviewer and put me completely at ease. Thank you @cbcradiocanada and Ramraajh Sharvendiran for having me on to talk about my first cookbook!

If you missed it and would like a listen, comment “CBC” and I’ll send you the link! 📻

Well, this was a first. 🥹
I stopped into @novelideakingston this weekend to check on my cookbook inventory and ended up having one of those moments that catches you completely off guard.

A few weeks ago, I dropped off some copies of my cookbook, but this was the first time I’d actually seen it on the shelf. Not on my desk, not in my office, not stacked in boxes at home, but sitting in a real bookstore alongside so many incredible cookbooks.

I stood there staring at it for a minute thinking “How did this happen?”

When I started sharing recipes years ago, I never imagined I’d one day walk into a bookstore and see my own cookbook on the shelf. Seeing it there, alongside books like Joy of Cooking, made the whole thing kind of surreal.

I’m feeling pretty proud, incredibly grateful, and taking a moment to soak it all in. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported My Pocket Kitchen along the way. ❤️ And thank you to Novel Idea Bookstore for giving my cookbook a spot on the shelf.

Make this on Sunday and thank yourself all week. 🙌 This Mediterranean Chickpea & Tuna Salad is loaded with bold flavours featuring artichoke hearts, olives, capers, feta, and fresh herbs and comes together quickly with zero cooking. It keeps beautifully in the fridge and tastes even better the next day.

Just comment SALAD below and I’ll DM you the link to the full recipe! 🫒🍋

I was skeptical about the whole “cook pasta right in the sauce” trend but wow, was I wrong. Not only is this creamy chicken and asparagus orzo delicious, it also makes for such an easy one pan meal.

Fresh asparagus is comin’ in hot and this recipe lets it shine. Plus, it’s perfect for Mother’s Day if you want to impress Mom without spending hours in kitchen.

This one needs to get into your regular rotation STAT.

Comment ORZO and I’ll send you recipe.
