Why is it so hard to slow down and simply be present? It doesn’t come easily for me, but I’m thankful for this quiet Tuesday morning.

Millie was glowing and so excited about her outfit, while Hazel seemed so much older this morning as she talked away with her wit and humor.

This past week I had a hysterectomy, and Blain turned the Big 35! Honestly, witnessing God work through Blain over the years is and will always be one of highlights of my life. Getting a front row view of how he has evolved and continues to evolve is like watching one of your favorite TV series that just keeps better with time. Witnessing him lead our family—not according to the opinions or choices of others, but by God’s direction for our children. The way he isn’t scared to say the hard things to the people he loves around him, how is simply doesn’t people please, and how he-shows up and is constantly willing to be present with the girls is something I dreamed of as a kid. He also has a way of keeping me in check when I become distracted by the noise or worldly opinions and views of others.

I’m also celebrating the beautiful announcement that Nealey and Chris are welcoming a child! We are over the moon excited to welcome another gift into the family.

I know the next few weeks will make it difficult for me to slow down, but I do know that the timing was intentional. This small season of simply being present and slowing down is exactly what I my soul needs. by @myra_steely

Only if Instagram would allow more than 20 pictures/videos. We took a trip to Fort Lauderdale for the @ballingonthebeach tournament, and had a blast getting some family time in at @lagomarresort 🐚 🌊 ☀️. The weather was perfect, the giggles were endless, and family time with my crew was the best. @dh12elite lost in the championship, but I know the girls are ready to show up and show out at their next tournament! by @myra_steely
