Talitha’s party on 27th Sept. Celebrating her was witnessing tween buzz 🐝 all through my house for 2 hours 🌻 she is surrounded by love and friendship and loves life so much. I am watching her in this second decade of hers and, it is like starting over again as a parent. Something has been reset for me it feels. David and I marvelled about how lucky we are to have her that evening after her party, when we think of raising her together so much depth and possibility has always risen inside us. @thecrownestate has extracted about £4 BILLION from offshore wind rights since 2000, about 3/4 of that in the last 3 fiscal years.

Think about how absurd this system is.

Our seabed. Our wind. Energy we literally need to live.

Developers pay a monopoly landlord for access. That cost enters the energy system. Households pay huge bills. Government then subsidises energy costs. Crown Estate profits go back into the general Treasury pot.

Round and round the money goes.

If the seabed is held “for the benefit of the nation”, prove it.

Stop treating national territory as a profit centre.

Run the energy estate for public benefit, at cost. Use our land and seabed to make energy CHEAPER for the people who actually live here.

No family owns Britain’s seabed.
