Following another packed out gig last night, we’re buzzing to announce our next show on Friday 24th April! Most of these incredible acts are performing at Funny Cuts for the first time and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there 🎤

Our headliner for this gig is the amazing Raajiee Chelliah. Raajiee is a Tamil Canadian standup comedian who speaks on life as an immigrant in Canada and travelling for fun rather than escape. She was also Just for Laughs Recording Artist 22-‘25, JFL Culture Show and featured on CBC Gem New Wave of Standup Comedy!

Doors and bar will be open from 7pm with the show starting at 7:30. Please DM us to reserve your seats!

We had so much fun at the Garden Gate music day on Saturday. 😍 It was a bit wild and all over the place with a massive rain fall right in the middle of our set! But the show must go on, so we just rolled with it! It felt a bit magical, actually, seeing the children run around and play in the rain. People were finding shelter, and I (Christie) felt like the crowd became little creatures hiding in the trees and hedges, which actually helped me let loose and enjoy our songs. Like I was singing to the garden itself, @thegardengateproject, melodious incantations for the wonderful things that happen there to continue! I must admit the energy in that garden is a gorgeous and joyous, important kind of community. Anyway, we had been so excited to debut the cajon in our set and share new songs and old that chronicle our path as lyricists and bandmates and partners. It’s the only gig we’ve done this year, so we feel a bit late to our second year of music momentum we were expecting post-release! Always better late than never, though, and bringing the girls up on Chasing After You (when @mrrees_ sang with them too!) and having him join us on the last song as well — it was just so much fun and sweetness wrapped in one little set. Our biggest little fans! Not to mention the technical delay we faced with our amp and guitars 🤣 but major cred to the sound man and crew for being so swell! Also thanks to @onefatherowl for being so committed to taking video for us that he used the picnic blanket as a cover over his head like a silvery ghost 🤣 We hope to book some more gigs, but as always we can only give the little time we have to it as best we can. Happy summer holidays 😎 🌊 😎

What is truth?

We're back at @bigshotdiner on Wednesday 27 November to explore this question and more.

Join an inclusive, warm and welcoming group of curious minds and let us know what you think about this or share an idea of your own - a way of thinking, a way of living, a way of acting, a way of being.

Or if you'd like to shine a light on a particular school of philosophy / a particular philosopher (living or dead) that you love (or hate), then come down.

And if you'd just like to come and hear what people are thinking then join us in a warm, welcoming safe space open to all.

It’s all about sharing stories, listening, responding and maybe, just maybe changing our minds along the way.

Let me know here if you'd like to get on the mic or just arrive early and we'll make it work.

Here is an example of a custom watercolour series I created for a serene Margate nursery 🥰
These are in lightweight plastic frames as a child-friendly option

This is the original pencil sketch of the family portrait I drew for my older Brother and his wife
I actually prefer the depiction of their facial expressions in this pencil version - much softer and lighter
What do you think?
