A beautiful evening filled with all sorts of delicious morsels! The Caprese tomato salad was such a hit—who knew a salad could steal the show? 🍅🌿

Bucatini and meatballs for Papá, the Tiger Shrimp 🍤 scampi for Mamá, and I absolutely loved the mushroom pasta. Every dish was memorable.

Near Cristo Rey, Ardovino’s Desert Crossing proves that you can find incredible Italian cuisine in the El Paso area surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert. Great food, wonderful company, and a perfect desert evening. 🇮🇹🌵✨

🌹 Took my familia to a perfectly curated send-off to the @elpasomuseumofart Frida Kahlo exhibition…an experience of her photography, and a skyline view rooftop brunch at the El Paso DoubleTree sky lounge with sunlight and city views.

🥃 Tequila tasting @g4tequilas G4 a solid choice—more on the craft side, with a focus on traditional methods and clean agave flavor. This tequila tasting after brunch added a nice twist to the overall experience!

☀️ Honestly, that’s not just “closing out an exhibit”—that’s turning it into a full-on Sunday funday afternoon experience.

For my Chardonnay lovers…

💛 There are so many misunderstandings of Chardonnay for example many consumers don’t realize that Chablis, Champagne Blanc de Blancs, and elegant white Burgundies are all made from Chardonnay…

💛 When they say they don’t like Chardonnay, they often mean they don’t like oak-bomb Chardonnay, not the grape itself.

💛 The grape’s versatility is both a strength and a weakness—it can be misunderstood when people assume all versions taste the same.

💛 Today, there’s a resurgence of love for cool-climate, mineral-driven, and unoaked Chardonnays—wines that are precise, elegant, and food-friendly. Yay! 🙌

💛 The positive side of this is more winemakers are also embracing restrained oak use and balanced acidity, which is restoring Chardonnay’s reputation among wine lovers.

💛 I’m so happy Chardonnay is enjoying a well-deserved comeback—and I say Chardonnay Day is the perfect excuse to explore its better side.

Isn’t she lovely! I had the incredible opportunity today to meet and visit with Susana Balbo! Susana is the trailblazer in Argentina’s wine industry and their country’s first female winemaker. Took a dive deep into her wines and expertise… and loved hearing all about Susana’s insights about winemaking techniques, and terroir. The conversation was rich in experience, innovation, and passion for winemaking. Possessing a deep understanding of Mendoza’s terroir, Susana pioneered techniques that have refined the quality of Torrontés, and making it a world-class wine. Beyond winemaking, she’s also been involved in politics, serving as a congresswoman and advocating for Argentina’s wine industry on the global stage. Cheers!

❤️ This year’s competition featured region is Napa Valley! A Master Wine Class on Napa presented by Brandy Leonards. Brandy is the trade relations director at the Napa Valley Vintners Association @napavintners and oversees all aspects of the trade relations including Premiere Napa Valley immersion programs.
