@anastaciarenee5 it has officially been 10 YEARS of MARRIAGE !!!!! I remember the want and desire to be loved, for someone to love me for me even while I’m still learning myself, for someone to experience the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. We are a concentric circle. We continue to grow and expand knowing are point is love. The core, the reminder, the target, our central space is love. I love you and will continue to love you in every form in this life and in the next. Special shout out to every photographer that offered us an anniversary shoot: @stantonjstephens @michaelbmaine @iam_jt95 #anniversary #marriage #10years #wedidthat #lifeisart by @naa_accepts

These days it can feel more like you are living to work instead of working to live. What’s the purpose? What’s your purpose? When will you go in search 👀 of it? What if it’s beyond what you think it is? Questions and thoughts in my first article in substack. Take a look. #purpose #substack #writing #lifeisart #youareneeded by @naa_accepts

When I did the work for my own workshop I recognized that this was heart work. Heart work at times can be hard work. You can be ready to do the work or not be ready at all and do it anyway. “They Use to Say” is a workshop that zooms in on the messages that was once shared with you on purpose, with intention, or in passing. What do those words mean to you today? Do you remember the moment or moments when it was shared? How will you revive that quote into the present day? Join me starting October 10th as we remember the merit in their words. Email amarkai474@gmail.com by October 5th to Register. #messages #purpose #heartwork #workshop taken in Zoom Online by @naa_accepts

When I was young I was considered rude and at times I had a fresh mouth. My first 5th grade teacher couldn’t say my name correctly. My 7th grade teacher use to call me by my sister’s name so in return I refused to respond back. My English teacher sophomore year of high school packed a few of us in her car and took us to the @nuyoricanpoetscafe . My 2nd semester in college studying at WCC Prof. Robinson said she really liked my poetry. Teaching is not easy. The recognition sometimes isn’t shown by shiny awards, bold plaques, or speeches in your honor.

I never thought I would be a teacher. I never thought I would be on stage consistently. However, my love for poetry, influenced my love for research, and my love for research influenced my desire to share facts, thoughts, emotions, and what if’s. My intentionality to commune with others led them also to become my teachers, and therefore my response was to teach what I’ve learned. What I’m trying to say is, that teachers are not only in the classroom. What I’m trying to say is, that I have taught in other spaces not only in the classrooms. What I am saying is, that I plan to learn and teach more than what can hold in the four walls of a classroom.

Classroom: where groups of students meet for instruction and learning

Teachers: one whose occupation is to instruct

Wifredo Lam known as a Cuban artist, with a mixed heritage of Congolese, Cuban, and Chinese descent. His contact with African celebrations and spiritual practices proved to be his largest artistic influence. Lam’s influence of African spirituality and Taoism deepen his outlook and the strokes of his brush. Lam was a vessel for the ancestors until he became one himself. Thank you @daemondarrindell for recommending the visit to @themuseumofmodernart before the exhibition closed. #art #museums #ancestors #vessels by @naa_accepts
