The seeds of this idea were planted about a year ago while road tripping across (golf courses) in South Australia with my buddy, Chris. And on the 500th morning of meditation earlier today, the fruits of that thought came and sat with me.

Walking towards peace has been a guiding mantra for a while now. Looking back, I realised I’ve searched for it in questionable places, losing/driving away good people in the process.

Two weeks ago I asked my therapist: why does this version of calmness I enjoy feel so alien? And so the conversation ensued.

I’ve learned: search for peace in distractions, and you’ll be embraced by distractions. Search for it in overstimulation and you’ll be enveloped by it.

I’ve learned: the places where I search will give me no more than what it can offer. by @nabilmust
