We had the pleasure of celebrating the impactful work of journalists across Chicago at the Robert H. Driehaus Foundation Awards for Investigative Journalism. ✨

NABJ President Errin Haines joined Sidnee King Pineda for a thoughtful conversation centered on our commitment to meaningful, transformative journalism and storytelling.

From insightful panels to a wonderful reception, thank you to the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, Better Government Association, and Illinois Answers Project for organizing such an intentional and inspiring evening.

Congratulations to all of the award recipients! 👏🏾

It was such a treat to spend time with @nabjofficial President @emarvelous 🤗 We’ll see you in a few months at the NABJ Convention and Career Fair in Atlanta! 🥂

NABJ Chicago was proud to support the White Sox as they invested in and inspired the next generation of journalists.

We teamed up with True Star Media to help bring this experience to life, giving more than 20 NABJ Chicago students the opportunity to learn, connect, and explore careers in journalism and sports media.

Creating opportunities like these is what it’s all about.. opening doors and investing in the future of our industry.

We love coming together to celebrate the incredible community of journalists who help shape our city every day. 🤗

It’s an absolute pleasure to co-host this tradition with our partner organizations: @aajachicago @nahj_chi @nlgjachi @chiheadlineclub @chi_journalists_association and the Chicago chapters of @theofficialsaja and @transjournalists.

We appreciate @fieldfoundation for sponsoring this special evening. 🥂

What a turnout! This year’s Chicago Journalism Unity Picnic at Promontory Point was the highest-attended annual gathering to date — bringing together some 120 journalists from diverse organizations to celebrate the collaboration and community that is the hallmark of Chicago's vibrant journalism ecosystem.

The @fieldfoundation was proud to sponsor the event co-hosted and organized by @aajachicago; @nabj_chicago; @nahj_chi; @nlgjachi; the Chicago chapters of @theofficialsaja and @transjournalists; along with @chi_journalists_association and @chiheadlineclub.

At a time when strong local journalism and trusted community connections matter more than ever, it was inspiring to see so many journalists come together to build relationships and celebrate the people who help tell Chicago’s stories. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s picnic the best yet. We look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen Chicago’s journalism community.
