God is teaching me what it truly means to seek Him in everything. It isn’t always easy, and sometimes it feels simpler to rely on myself. This week especially, I’ve felt more distant from Jesus than I have in a long time, because I let other priorities come before time with Him. And when I drift from God, I notice how quickly I reach for superficial things to fill my need for affection, how heavy it feels to protect myself from people’s judgment, and how restless my heart becomes.

But His grace covers it all. When I reach out for Him, His peace meets me in a way nothing else ever could. People often ask how our first week of marriage has been, and while I’d love to say it’s all ease and effortless love, the truth is it takes intention. Marriage, much like our walk with Jesus, means laying down pride again and again, and choosing to invite Him into every part of life. And it’s there, in that surrender, that the real sweetness is found. by @naimaadia

This year, we did something different for Valentine’s Day! 🌹 We took a trip to @traderjoes , where I picked out my own flowers to create a Valentine’s Day bouquet for myself.

I’ve realized that my preferred flower arrangements aren’t usually available in pre-made store bouquets, so we decided to try something new—and it turned out beautifully!

As a couple, it’s always nice to find new experiences to share. Showing each other the flower bundles we liked was so fun, and we even learned more about each other’s tastes. ♥️
