Redacted Space, 2026Mixed media: Wood, tiles, marble, metal, foam and acrylic paint 89 × 62 × 8cmCreated from the remnants of my bedroom renovation after mould was discovered, Redacted Space transforms discarded materials, including wood, tiles, and part of my radiator, into a new imagined landscape. What began as a period of disruption became a process of reclaiming a space that had felt temporarily lost. by @naiya.rt

Fault LineHigh-density foam, aluminium wire, found plastic and metal trimmings, acrylic paint. This work began as an intuitive exploration of material and form. It only revealed itself fully after I finished making it.Looking back at it, I started to see a fractured landscape marked by traces of movement. The fault line slowly became less of a crack in the ground and more of a border, while the wire refused to stay within it, finding its own path instead. As these connections began to emerge, I found myself thinking about migration. Movement has existed long before borders, yet it is often framed as if it is the problem. I kept returning to the thought that it is not movement that is broken, but the systems that attempt to contain it. by @naiya.rt

Rift 2026Foam and acrylic paint29 x 29 x 14cm Rift occupies a space between the geological and the constructed. A dark circular form is disrupted by a bright fissure that reveals only fragments of its interior. The work considers how surfaces conceal the systems that sustain them, drawing attention to the selective ways in which urban environments reveal and obscure their underlying structures. What becomes visible is not the whole, but a partial exposure produced through disruption.Shown in Selective Visibility at Canary Wharf with @secondsurface__ by @naiya.rt

I'm showing three artworks atSELECTIVE VISIBILITYA research-led exhibition curated by @lexieeeeeee_wPresented by @secondsurface__Private View7 June 2026, 6–9pmExhibition8–13 June 2026, 12–9pm📍Mercato Metropolitano Wood Wharf @mercatometropolitano Level -1, 6 George St, Canary Wharf Estate, London E14 9QG🔍Who decides what becomes visible in the city — and under what conditions? Can a policy be felt? Can economic systems leave traces in everyday space? Can the city reveal what usually remains unseen?Developed from research conducted in Canary Wharf, Selective Visibility brings together artists working across installation, sound, photography, moving image, performance, sculpture, and spatial practice.Rather than treating visibility as simply a question of seeing, the exhibition approaches it as a condition shaped by infrastructure, governance, ownership, labour, memory, and everyday experience.Across the exhibition, hidden systems become material, overlooked spaces become legible, and ordinary urban encounters reveal the forces that quietly organise contemporary city life.Featured ArtistsAgak.Agak.Unit @agak.agak.unitElephant Vision Lab @elephantvisionlabLeyun Wen @lexieeeeeee_wNaiya Hohlidaki @naiya.rtNeylan Aular @neaularOlivia Foster @liv.fosterQizhi Che @akakiwiswwwQuan Bai @quanbai.artRuiqi Huang @ricki_2sTeng Wang @tengwangggggggggggggYingchen Mu @muyingchenchYuxi Zhong @yuxi3055Zhenghao Wang @zhenghaoo_Zhiying Chen @changingg_gggZiwei Li @rmcyDeveloped through @csm_ma_cities#londonexhibition #comtemporaryart #groupexhibition #urbanresearch #canarywharf by @naiya.rt

This series is being exhibited in Paris as part of Fragments of Memorabilia, a group show curated by @moments____forlebanon @hayaty.diaries and @zahraathena opening this FridayThe Walls Remember, 2026Acrylic and spray paint on plasterboard 20 x 20 cm Made on reclaimed firewall plasterboard, these works transform a material associated with protection and shelter into fractured surfaces marked by abrasion, puncture, and accumulation. Emerging through an embodied process of making, they act as fragments of architecture and memory, holding traces of violence, loss, and the persistence of home. Each fragment has its’s own story so it felt fitting to have individual titles as well: 1. When It Started (closeup) 2. Dispersion3. Lebanon 4. Ricochet Stardust 5. Our Roots 6. Shrapnel Traces 7. From The Ground Up 8. Translocation 9. And They Were Gone (closeup) 10. Silence 11. A graduate of Chelsea College of Arts (UAL) and the Royal College of Art, her practice explores the relationship between the body and the built environment, examining how architecture and infrastructure shape perception, memory, and movement. CUT THE STEM presents Naiya Hohlidaki as part of UNWIRED Twisted Symbiosis, 2025Scaffold foam, aluminium flat bar, LED light strip, dimensions variable Installed within a fireplace, Twisted Symbiosis transforms materials of protection into a fragile knot of light and tension. Scaffolding foam, usually used for safety on construction sites is twisted around into a glowing core. It reflects London’s obsession with construction, safety, and control, contrasting with places where destruction and precarity prevail. A quiet tension, caught between care, collapse, and the unequal rhythms of the world.@naiya.rt #groupexhibition #lightart #lightartinstallation #sitespecificart #upcomingartist by @naiya.rt
