THE GLASS CHILD on NBC 6 South Florida!

On Monday, October 5, director Iñaki Amechazurra joined NAMI Miami-Dade President & CEO Susan Holtzman on NBC 6 South Florida for a special conversation about the Reel Minds Mental Health Film Festival, World Mental Health Day, and the role storytelling can play in bringing greater awareness to mental health.

Through THE GLASS CHILD, Iñaki brings an intimate and deeply human story to the screen—one that opens the door to important conversations about mental health, family, and the experiences that too often remain unseen or unspoken.

We are incredibly proud to see the film continue its journey beyond the screen, using cinema not only to tell a story, but to create awareness, encourage dialogue, and remind audiences of the power of empathy.

We are honored to have THE GLASS CHILD screening as part of NAMI Miami-Dade’s Reel Minds Mental Health Film Festival and to stand alongside an organization committed to changing the conversation around mental health.

💚✨🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we recognize the individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer and the importance of supporting both physical and mental health throughout the journey.

A breast cancer diagnosis can affect more than physical health. The uncertainty, stress, fear, and changes that can come with diagnosis and treatment can also take a toll on mental and emotional well-being. For caregivers and loved ones, supporting someone through their journey can bring its own challenges.

Taking care of your mental health is an important part of taking care of yourself. Whether that means talking with someone you trust, connecting with a support group, making time for yourself, or reaching out for professional support, you don’t have to navigate difficult moments alone.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s continue to support one another and make space for the mental and emotional well-being of everyone affected by breast cancer. 🎀✨💚
