Dig Day Doumont was a rip. 18 volunteers showed up and put in serious work on lower Armageddon and Y2K — new signage, drainage tweaks, reroutes, and realignment progress that’ll keep the flow going all season.

Massive thank you to every single person who came out and dug in. Every person who picks up a tool is leading the charge on trail stewardship — and that matters. 🙌

And those Black Cat t-shirts? A total hit. We still have a few limited edition ones left — come out to the next dig day and grab yours. Thanks for the support and the swag, @blackcatstudios.ltd . 🖤

Join us at Rock City Cycles for our Membership Drive Saturday, April 18th.

NMBC is 100% volunteer-run. No paid staff. No commercial revenue stream. Just a community of people putting in the work to build, maintain, protect, and advocate for the trails we all ride.

Your membership helps fund trail maintenance, signage, tools, equipment, land use agreements, events, dig days, advocacy, and grant work that helps grow the network. It also supports the relationship-building, advocacy, and negotiations needed to secure future sanctioned trail networks and expand legal riding opportunities in Nanaimo.

Membership also gives you a voice in the club through voting rights at the AGM and helps provide insurance coverage for NMBC-sanctioned events and trail days.

Fall riding in Nanaimo is on! 🍂

Here @harryolson from @nanaimomtb shares a little trail preview of Double Crown, a new double black descent trail at the Westwood Lake Trail Network.

This trail was built with progression in mind featuring a cool mix of wood work, drops, and jumps.

Keep your eyes peeled because they will also soon be opening a new blue trail that runs parallel to Double Crown.

All this work happens thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers who advocate for trails, navigate the logistics, and trail builders who put in hours on the ground to make this happen.

If you enjoy new trails and like riding well maintained trails consider buying a membership to the trail associations whose trails you enjoy riding, or donating to the trail associations via their website or @trailforks Trail Karma.

The first dig day of the fall is here!

Join us Saturday, October 17, 9am - 12pm for some trail love on Doumont, Upper Armageddon and more.

No experience needed. We’ll provide tools. Just bring gloves, water, a snack and sturdy shoes. It's a great way to meet fellow riders and builders.

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY! (Link in bio)

We have some amazing things planned for Sunday’s show at the Port Theatre. We’ll be showing a film from island locals @lazy.sundays.studio before the main show “Ride to Resilience”.

We have a 50/50 draw to raise money for @nanaimomtb! We have AWESOME silent auction prizes with the money going toward supporting mental health and paying for this amazing film to be made. Make sure to come for 6pm to have time to bid on these!
