Nancy Says Goodbye - The post I’ve been knowing is coming but never wanted to happen, Our sweet Nancy girl has passed. It’s been a week since she left us but I feel lucky to have had the time I did with her and I got more time than I ever imagined.

There are a lot of people that I think Nancy (and I) would have liked to thank; all the friends that helped care for her while I was away, all the nice businesses that put water out for her or gave her treats, the vet teams, kind neighbours, kind strangers, the rescue that saved her, the OG Nancy from Colorado who paid for her initial care, and the partners I’ve had in life.

Thank you for letting me share her with you here too fam.

Nancy would remind you to wear your sunscreen this weekend, it’s going to be hot.

Cocktail Bar Reviews - Mexico City I

Hey fam 👋🏻, been a hot damn minute! Thought I’d post some recco’s on some bars I like. I’ve been to Mexico City twice so thought I’d start there. Let me know a place you’ve loved lately, can be anywhere and anything. 👇🏻

@fomabar.mx Form and Matter (FOMA) is a concept that focuses on cutting edge molecular mixology, hospitality, and unique flavours. The buildout is modern and reminds me of a high-end restaurant that focuses on making the guests feel integrated with the craftsmen (and women).

There are an unbelievable amount of cocktail bars in Mexico City and many listed ones, FOMA is one of my top recommendations for someone looking for high quality and up and coming spots. In a city with so many great cocktail bar options, FOMA is definitely stand-out. Gimme flavour! 🤤🤤

Reasons to go; 1. You’re a cocktail nerd that wants to talk to world class bartenders who understand molecular cocktail concepts 2. You’re interested in unique flavour combinations 3. You don’t want another speak easy concept with run of the mill classics 4. You appreciate world class hospitality

9 Years Together - 👏🏻 🥳 9 YEARS! Amazing to have this much time with you. I’m very glad to have you in my life best friend but this has been a very tough year, Nancy hasn’t been feeling very well lately and our vets have told us that she is unfortunately not going to get better. Her sweet old body can’t handle the procedure she needs to get better so we are just managing things day by day. There have been many great people and dogs that have come into Nancys life and helped us, we appreciate and love every one of you. Nancy wants to remind you to tell your besties you love them, just so they know ☺️.

A little Nancy photo dump and pupdate - Nancy hasn’t been feeling very well the last couple months. Our vet team has been working very hard to figure out what’s going on and we’ve done almost every test we can think of. After a full CT scan and internal medicine review it was determined that Nancy has been diagnosed as being an old lady. Such a surprise 😂.

She’ll be going in for a big dental procedure soon, now that we’ve determined her tenacious little body can handle it. We hope this is going to make her feel a bit better. She’s been very brave and tough through it all.

Nancy wants to remind you to enjoy the time you have with the ones you care about, be present and kind. 😇

Lodge Negroni - This may be controversial, I like negroni’s but gin…. Not so much anymore… so what to do during negroni week? Enter the Lodge Negroni.

1 oz blended scotch @johnniewalker black
1 oz @campariofficial
0.5 oz coffee liquer
0.5 oz sweet vermouth
The orange peel twisted up like your undies on a long flight. Serve over large cube and express yourself and orange peel over.

Enjoy 😉

Vieux Carre - Not a NancyDrinkman original, but this combination is absolutely incredible and will keep you cozy. What’s everyone’s fave winter cocktail/beverage of the moment? 🤔

.75 oz Rye @michterswhiskey
.75 oz Cognac @hennessy
.75 oz sweet vermouth @anticaformula_official
.25 oz Benedictine
1 dash angostura
1 dash black walnut bitters

Put all your premium spirit in a mixing glass, stir it down over ice. Orange peel expressed and toss in a candied cherry. 👏🏻 A bit of a twist, but mostly the original. So so so SOOOOOO good. Apprecier.
