Seriously excited about every exhibition I'll see at @artinstitutechi tomorrow, but especially so about this one.

Featuring 65 artists from more than 23 countries, this exhibition explores how abstraction emerged as a powerful visual language between 1940 and 1970, a period of global upheaval and transformation.

Impromptu artist's talk. Yes, they can happen anywhere, any time. 😉😊 Those who know me, know I love talking about art, in all its amazing forms. And, I truly believe EVERYONE is an artist, in some way or another. taken in Bahá’í Community of Rockford by @nancygood_art

It's always a delight to share the immersive experience of my installation, "BIG ART - BIGGER Concepts," with new viewers, which is currently on exhibit through November 1st, at @evanstonartcenter . The piece we're viewing here is "The Communal Catharsis of Synaptic Rain," (60" x 120", Acrylic, latex, airbrush, oil pastel, ink, spray paint, UV pigments). I'm scheduling visits while I'm in the Chicago area so feel free to reach out if you, too, would also like to see "the rest of the story" within the art.

This installation is part of a 3-person exhibition featuring the incredible polymer clay art of @laylmcdill and the thought-provoking intricate works of Jemsy Pradun, under the blanket title of "Unseen Connections."

Located at 1717 Central St., Evanston, IL 60201, (847) 475-5300, through November 1, 2026.

Sketch/Study # 6 in the traveling sketchbook.

While staying with my folks in Northern Illinois, I'm diving into a newer (to me) medium in a way I haven't done while home. I wanted something versatile and portable and chose watercolor pencils to have some creative fun. Also mixing in ink pens, regular colored pencils, and even some isopropyl alcohol for details and effects in a mixed-media sketchbook. ❤️

It's such an honor when artists we respect and admire take the time out to visit, dive in, and share their experiences with your art. Thank you, Kim Johnson @strangedaysandstardust for doing me such an honor. The photos feature details from "Synaptocilia" (60" x 101", acrylic, latex, airbrush, oil pastel, ink, spray paint, UV pigments on canvas)

The other incredible part of this is showing my large-scale paintings alongside so many other massively talented women artists in this gorgeous new Las Vegas Civic Center Gallery @cityoflasvegas . @rawkylozano and Joan De Santis did a beautiful job curating "Her Story Through Art: Las Vegas Women Artists" with the great support of @lvnvlaura and team. The exhibition is up through the end of December.

Giggling when unexpected visitors show up to help celebrate my installation, "BIG ART - BIGGER Concepts," during yesterday's reception at @evanstonartcenter . Thank you so much, @dsans1 , for coming out and bringing your lovely wife and son as well! It took me a bit to put 2+2 together since I hadn't seen you in almost 5 years, when curating your amazing @americanrouletteart exhibition at Core in Las Vegas. Glad I had the hyperlapse video running to snag this screenshot! 😉

It's a pretty wonderful feeling when friends show up to help celebrate my installation, "BIG ART - BIGGER Concepts," during yesterday's reception at @evanstonartcenter . Thank you so much, Stanley, for the gift of your time and support! You are certainly missed in Las Vegas! We agreed that standing in front of "BIG love!" (1 of 14 large-scale works on exhibit) is a great message to send to the world. ❤️
