3rd person outlook

merging together creative projects, processes, and ideations to create a more simplified and cohesive environment. i’ve come to realize recently that while yes, the content is very unique and experimental, there should be more defined and polished look to it that would make it easier for the audience to digest.

so here’s to a cleaner future!

Y si si? Y si si es esta vez?!

I’m pleased to announce that I will be attending one of the best design schools in the world soon and I’d like to take a step back and thank every single person that ever trusted me with their creative vision. Your trust in me has led me to realize that your ambitions are a lot closer than they seem!

I also want to thank ArtCenter and the Admissions Team for giving me a chance to improve and learn among fellow designers.

Si se puede y si se pudo!

Danza Azteca | You see it all the time but are you aware of its history and origins? Swipe to learn more!

La Danza Azteca is an ancient tradition of dances that serves a a ritual practice

Ceremonies tracked the planting and harvesting cycles, honoring sacred elements like maize (corn)

Dancers moved in large circles around central offerings, viewing the practice as a purification of body and soul

After the Spanish Conquest, European colonizers banned these practices as they were labeled as pagan/witchcraft.

But during the Mid-20th century, cultural revivalists reintroduced the instrumentation and choreography to reclaim an indigenous performance style known as Danza Azteca/ Danza Mexica

Today, groups across the United States and Mexico perform in elegant and perfected artisan fashion with feathers and rattles, using the dance as both an active prayer and a political statement of heritage and social justice.

Thank you all for making it to the end of this post! :)

Gabriel Ponce Went The Distance 🥊💥

Congratulations to this Pasadena Boxer who won his bout at the 11th Annual Centennial Square Boxing Show here in Pasadena!

This was my first boxing event live and I just so happened to photograph a familiar face.

The vision behind this photoshoot was to capture the action up close as powerful hits were exchanged and encapsulate the intensity and the pressure of this hometown match with the backdrop of the historic Pasadena City Hall!
