Menopause changes your skin… but did you know your facial treatments might need to change too?

We often talk about hot flushes, mood swings and sleepless nights, but what about the changes our skin goes through?

As part of Menopause Awareness Month, back with lovely Hina from Hina's Beauty Work, Glendene, for Part 2 of our series.

🎥 Today's question: What beauty treatments can help during menopause?

Hina shares four treatments worth knowing about:

Hydrating facials to help replenish moisture and leave skin feeling softer and more comfortable.

Lymphatic drainage massage for a gentle, relaxing treatment that may temporarily help with facial puffiness.

Red light therapy to support the appearance of skin, with results depending on the device and individual skin needs.

Scalp massage because sometimes a little relaxation and self-care is exactly what we need!

What I love about this conversation is the reminder that skincare isn't always about correcting something. Sometimes it's about understanding what our skin needs as we move through different stages of life.

And remember, not every treatment suits everyone. A good consultation with your beauty therapist makes all the difference.

Thank you, Reshma, for inviting me to such an amazing Garba night organised by the Indian Association of Manukau.

What an experience! This Navratri celebration in Auckland was beautifully organised, full of colour, music and energy. Celebrating Indian culture through traditional Garba brings the community together like nothing else, and it was so much fun.

Another dish from Nadia Lim’s Vegful book.

Slow roasted eggplant, capsicum and courgette with a lemon, garlic and herb oil. I added my own little twist with cherry tomatoes and cottage cheese (paneer), and it turned out so well. The paneer soaked up all those flavours beautifully.
