Have you ever looked in the mirror and wished your skin would just get better?

Maybe you've tried different products, followed every skincare tip, or compared your skin to someone else's and wondered, “Why am I not seeing the same results?”

I think we've all been impatient with ourselves at some point.

And that's why I love this little lesson from the turtle.

“Speed means nothing when your journey is built on patience.”

It reminds us that not everything beautiful happens overnight.

Your skin has its own story. It has been through changing seasons, stress, sleepless nights, hormonal changes and so many stages of your life.

And sometimes, instead of being kind to it, we spend more time noticing what we wish we could change.

But what if we started appreciating our skin for everything it does for us?

What if we stopped comparing, stopped rushing and simply gave ourselves a little more patience?

Skincare isn't about achieving perfect skin. It's about learning to care for the skin we have, with kindness, consistency and realistic expectations.

At Caithy Organics, that's something we truly believe in.

Whether it's your skincare journey or life itself, remember…

You don't have to be ahead of anyone. You don't have to have everything figured out. And you certainly don't have to rush your own journey.

Sometimes, moving slowly means you're learning to take better care of yourself along the way.

✨ Be patient with your skin.
✨ Be gentle with yourself.
✨ And remember, you're so much more than what you see in the mirror.

Happy Monday!

Sometimes the hardest part of menopause isn't the changes we're going through… it's talking about them.

Why do we so often stay quiet when our bodies are changing?

Part 4 of our Menopause & Your Skin series with lovely Hina from Hina's Beauty Work, Glendene, and this conversation goes beyond skincare.

Hina shared such an important message that I believe every woman deserves to hear.

“Talk about it. Share what you're going through. You might be surprised how many women around you are experiencing something similar.”

Menopause doesn't look or feel the same for everyone.

One woman might experience hot flushes and sleepless nights, while another might notice changes in her skin, mood or energy levels. And some women may experience very few symptoms.

That's why conversations matter.

❤️ Talk to your friends or other women going through the same stage of life.

❤️ If you notice unusual changes or something doesn't feel right, speak with your GP. They can assess your symptoms and advise whether any tests, including blood tests, are needed.

❤️ Talk to your beauty therapist about changes in your skin. We may not have all the answers, but we can listen, offer appropriate skincare guidance and encourage you to seek medical advice when needed.

You don't have to figure everything out on your own.

Sometimes a simple conversation can bring reassurance, understanding and the confidence to ask for help.

And that's exactly why Hina and I wanted to create this series. Not just to talk about skincare, but to encourage more open, supportive conversations.

Ladies, do you think we talk openly enough about perimenopause and menopause? Or is it still something many women hesitate to discuss?

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Let's keep the conversation going. 🤎

Just because a skincare ingredient works wonders for someone else doesn't mean your skin will love it too!

And that's exactly what we're talking about in Part 3 of our Menopause & Your Skin series!

As part of Menopause Awareness Month, We are back with lovely Hina from Hina's Beauty Work, Glendene, discussing a question many women have:

Which skincare ingredients should we look for during menopause, and what should we be careful with?

Hina loves incorporating botanical oils and nourishing ingredients into skincare routines, including:

Rosehip oil
Marula and argan oils
Pōhutukawa
Vitamin E
Grapeseed oil

But something Hina said really stood out to us:

“Just because a product suits someone else doesn't mean it will suit your skin.” ❤️

And she's absolutely right!

During menopause, skin can become drier or more sensitive, so understanding what your skin actually needs matters more than following every skincare trend.

Hina also shares why she encourages caution with:

✨ AHA/BHA cleansers — these can irritate some skin types, particularly when overused.

✨ Fragranced products — especially if your skin is sensitive or easily irritated.

✨ Microbead scrubs — abrasive exfoliation may be too harsh for delicate skin.

And there was a lovely moment when Hina shared her experience with Caithy Organics.

She described them as “products that never let you down” and shared how happy her clients have been with them.

Hearing that from a beauty professional who works closely with clients means so much. Thank you, Hina, for your trust and support!

Of course, even natural ingredients aren't suitable for everyone. It's always worth introducing new products carefully and paying attention to how your skin responds.

Now we are curious: Has a skincare product ever worked beautifully for your friend but not for you?

Share your experience below! Let's keep this conversation going. ❤️

Menopause changes your skin… but did you know your facial treatments might need to change too?

We often talk about hot flushes, mood swings and sleepless nights, but what about the changes our skin goes through?

As part of Menopause Awareness Month, back with lovely Hina from Hina's Beauty Work, Glendene, for Part 2 of our series.

🎥 Today's question: What beauty treatments can help during menopause?

Hina shares four treatments worth knowing about:

Hydrating facials to help replenish moisture and leave skin feeling softer and more comfortable.

Lymphatic drainage massage for a gentle, relaxing treatment that may temporarily help with facial puffiness.

Red light therapy to support the appearance of skin, with results depending on the device and individual skin needs.

Scalp massage because sometimes a little relaxation and self-care is exactly what we need!

What I love about this conversation is the reminder that skincare isn't always about correcting something. Sometimes it's about understanding what our skin needs as we move through different stages of life.

And remember, not every treatment suits everyone. A good consultation with your beauty therapist makes all the difference.

💬 Have you tried any of these treatments? Which one is your favourite, or which would you love to try?

Hot flushes, mood swings, sleepless nights… but why don't we talk enough about what menopause does to our skin?

October is Menopause Awareness Month, and we are excited to kick off a little conversation series with lovely Hina from Hina's Beauty Work, Glendene.

Menopause is a natural stage of life, yet so many women experience changes they weren't expecting, including changes in their skin.

So we thought, why not sit down, ask some real questions and share what we've learned?

🎥 Part 1 is here! And this is just the beginning.

Ladies, have you noticed your skin behaving differently during perimenopause or menopause? Let's talk about it in the comments.

And tag a friend who might find it helpful.

What if the things that matter most in life are the ones we often overlook?

A genuine conversation.
A kind word.
Someone remembering the little things.
A moment of laughter.
Or simply being there when someone needs you.

We spend so much time chasing bigger things, bigger achievements and bigger moments that sometimes we forget how much happiness lives in the ordinary.

And the older I get, the more I realise that the simplest things often leave the deepest impressions.

No grand gestures. No perfect moments. Just real people, genuine connections and little things that mean a lot.

Sometimes, simple really is enough.

What's one simple thing that made you smile recently? I'd love to hear. 🤎

Not the kind of love that asks you to look perfect.
The kind that reminds you to understand and care for the skin you already have.

L — Listen to your skin.
O — Observe what it needs.
V — Value consistency over perfection.
E — Embrace the skin you’re in.

Because skincare can be more than a routine. Sometimes it’s simply a few minutes in your day to slow down, check in with yourself and show yourself a little care.

Swipe through and tell us — which letter speaks to you most?

Want better-looking skin as you age? Skincare is only ONE part of the picture.

In Part 3 of our Ageing & Skin series, Sukhi from Umile Brow & Beauty talks about building a simple, consistent skin ritual:

✨ Cleanse properly every day
✨ Exfoliate regularly, according to your skin’s needs
✨ Nourish with products suited to your changing skin
✨ Give your skincare time and consistency

Sukhi also shares two of her Caithy favourites — Marula Serum + Marula Rich Moisturiser — to help nourish and moisturise skin that may feel drier as it ages.

And remember, healthy ageing doesn’t happen through skincare alone. Nutritious food, regular exercise, looking after your overall wellbeing AND a consistent skincare routine all work together.

Sukhi’s advice? Give your products at least 3 months to properly assess how your skin responds rather than constantly changing your routine.

Inside + outside + consistency. That’s the ritual.

What does exercise have to do with healthy ageing and our skin? More than we sometimes realise.

In this next clip from my Ageing & Skin conversation with Sukhi from Umile Brow & Beauty, Sukhi talks about the importance of the gym and strength exercise as we get older.

And I shared something I personally believe too — it doesn’t always have to happen at the gym. I love walking, and simple movement at home like planks, bodyweight exercises or even taking time for breathing exercises can all become part of looking after ourselves.

The message from our conversation is simple: healthy ageing isn’t just about what we put on our skin. It’s about looking after ourselves from the inside and outside, consistently. 🤎

We all talk about “anti-ageing”… but what does ageing actually look like in our skin?

I recently sat down with Sukhi from Umile Brow & Beauty for a conversation about ageing, skin and something I think we sometimes forget:

Looking after our skin isn’t only about what we put on it.

In this first clip, we talk about some of the signs we associate with ageing and why supporting ourselves from the inside AND the outside can matter as we get older.

There’s much more from this conversation coming.

This is Part 1 of our Ageing & Skin series.

Maybe we don’t need more time… maybe we need to experience it differently. 🤎

Kiss. Read. Listen to music. Write. Breathe.

Sometimes the simplest things have a beautiful way of slowing life down and bringing us back to the moment.
