Whether you’ve known me since childhood or more recently in life, there’s a good chance you met my mom. She was always genuinely interested in my friends, family, her neighbors and community; always wanting to get to know people and connect with them. I always admired how she could just talk to anyone, always seeming so confident. Looking back I see that she was my biggest cheerleader, and until having a child of my own, I don’t think I understood how much she loved me and my brother.

Two months ago, on January 16th, she unexpectedly passed away. It was a shock, one that I still feel. We lost her cheerful smile, her positive energy, her endless stories and grooving dance moves. The reality of her being gone hits me in waves, but I know her beautiful soul is out there in the cosmos watching over me, probably still tracking my location as she liked to do. Love you mom, miss you.

We’ll be having her memorial service and celebration of life in May, on what would have been her 75th birthday. If you’re interested in attending, please let me know and I can send details. taken in California by @natalieadej

New Pop-Up Class: Strong Together: Baby-wearing Strength for New Moms 🍼

We are excited to welcome trainer @natalieadej back with a specialized class designed specifically for new mothers on December 20 from 10-11:00 AM at The Yard Tam Junction! The Strong Together pop-up is a safe, low-impact strength training class focused on supporting postpartum recovery, rebuilding muscle, and boosting energy, all while bonding with your baby.
