Has anyone else noticed their cycle and hormones changing drastically? Yeah… me too. 😩Two things I didn’t expect as I’ve gotten older:1️⃣ To love my gray hair as much as I do.2️⃣ For my cycle to completely change over the last year.My migraines have gotten worse, along with a few other symptoms. Each month, I’m usually in bed for two or three days.I don’t have time for that!So I’ve been looking for ways to better support my body, especially during my period.I recently decided to try The Period Comfort drink by @DrinkTheCycle and I was pleasantly surprised by how much it supported me during my cycle.It’s a botanical drink made with ingredients like: sea buckthorn, raspberry leaf, nettle leaf, and lemon balm to help support your body during your period. In the recent years you’ve seen me partner with brands for various campaigns, activations and community events. I don’t talk about the ins and outs of that side of my work very often on Instagram (I do on LinkedIn) but let’s be clear, it’s marketing! If you’re new here, you know me through my recent work with my @newnarrativeswithnatalie - community events, and conversations around mothers breaking generational cycles and doing parenting in a new way.But my OG Instagram fam knows that long before that, I spent over 15 years working in marketing, training, and strategy. And I LOVED it (I just didn’t love the way social media was shifting… 🙄 more on that another time). Recently, my motherhood and marketing worlds have started coming together in a way that feels really natural.💕Tomorrow evening, I am partnering with @cabwhp where I’ll be helping doulas build confidence in communicating their value, attracting the families they’re meant to serve, and growing sustainable practices through authentic marketing.I have such a deep respect for doulas because they helped bring my own children safely into this world. Getting the opportunity to pour back into the people who pour into families feels incredibly meaningful.And I’ll be honest, it feels good to slowly share this side of my work with you all here. I’ll post another time about all of the resources at the library has but today…I’m talking about how to get some work done if you don’t have steady childcare for summer and you work from home. I’ll never not sing the praises of the library! It’s a safe, fun place for my 3 younger kids. Especially when I need a bit of time to complete some tasks (semi) uninterrupted.And huge shout out to @inglewoodpl for all of your amazing programs! My kids are you loving the summer reading challenge so far. They are devouring their books and they are so excited about the prizes.
