“I see repetition and consistency of touch as a method to transmit care, and a sense of care, to whomever is receptive enough to receive it. The goal is to send these transmissions out as far and wide as possible. The illusion of projected light conveyed in my pictures gives each one of them a sense of life, action, and exuberant coexistence with the viewer.”

Since I posted images of my summer sketchbook drawings, I’ve had multiple inquiries about their availability. Since those works are bound together as parts of a long-form artist book, I’ve been very hesitant to separate them. However, far be it from me not to appreciate my audience- So I’m starting a series of daily drawings; same touch/mark language, same medium, on handmade Japanese Shikishi paper.

20 years a New Yorker this weekend. Thanks to the city that gave me an audience, provides community, and continually shows me love.
Of course, it’s been the great pleasure of my life to experience it all with the beautiful @sunflowerfille by my side.
I can’t wait to see what the next 20 bring.
