yeah i still play trombone.
here’s my mental strategy for playing outdoors at 9k ft elevation in 45 degree rainy weather - mega shoutout to the crowd for sticking it out with us in the deluge!!!
🏔️🏔️🏔️
1. tuning slide all the way in + extremely loud/out of tune/rowdy high note to get air thru the horn while praying the warm air will bring it in tune then bring volume down to reasonable piano to see if it worked
2. let @nateplaysnotes effortlessly pipe some bars and edit tuning slide position
3. come back in soft to see if that worked and it kind of did
4. fallback to pentatonic lines to make crowd go “woo”
5. gasp for fuckin breath because you colorado psychos love not being able to breathe properly 😂😂😂
6. fight through the rest of the song and gig on repeat
