What happens when two Bananas meet at Penti-Con? They play Bananarchy of course! Thanks to everyone who stopped by at our booth this weekend to spin the human slot machine or to play a game of Bananarchy! I really enjoyed all the monkey Mayhem and I’m looking forward to the next event! Thanks as always to @lily_knelsen and @thepenticon for having us out! Can’t wait until next year! #ConLife #Convention #BoardGame #Cosplay #NerdLife by @nathanlundgaard

Some games take a few months to make. Some take more than 10 years. Nathan Lundgaard started @bananarchygame after a game night that went badly. He was tired of waiting for his turn, so he went home and decided to make a game where players never had to wait. What started with two friends, scraps of paper and pencils eventually became something much bigger. There were local game nights. There were prototypes. There was COVID. There were co-designers who moved on. Nathan quit his job. There were conventions, manufacturing headaches, tariffs and a lot of money on the line... At one point, they almost gave up. But Nathan kept going. Then they finally launched Bananarchy on Kickstarter. Funded in under 12 hours. And the final result? 🍌 CA$57,128 pledged 🍌 CA$11,000 goal 🍌 1,031 backers That's more than 5 times what they originally asked for! We love stories like this because the finished product is only a small part of what you're actually looking at. Behind every independent game, book, illustration or world, there's usually a person who spent years figuring things out as they went. Nathan's story is a pretty good reminder of that. Congratulations, Nathan. And congratulations to everyone who helped bring Bananarchy to life. This one belongs in the House. 🗝️🕯🍌 #supportindie by @nathanlundgaard

💃 3 ways private lessons improve your dancing… 🕺 1️⃣ Get personalized feedback Instead of trying to keep up with a group, we can focus on your technique, timing, and movement. 2️⃣ Learn what YOU actually want to learn Want to nail that turn? Improve your leading or following? Feel more comfortable dancing socially? We’ll build the lesson around your goals. 3️⃣ Build confidence faster One-on-one instruction means more focused practice, more feedback, and more opportunities to ask questions. 🔥 And right now, private lessons are on SALE! Whether you’re brand new to dancing or looking to take your skills to the next level, this is a great time to invest in yourself and your dancing. 📩 Message me to book your private lesson! #dancing #salsa #bachata #kizomba #kelowna by @nathanlundgaard

🌟 Huge Shout-Out: Nathan & Britta! 🌟 What an honour it is to collaborate with this wonderful couple! Nathan and Britta are local instructors with the Kelowna Salsa Bachata Kizomba Society (@KSBK), and I am thrilled to welcome them back for another sold-out Latin event! 💃🕺 These were taken at our last event at @towneplacewestkelowna Suites by Marriott where they shared their talent and passion with our dance community. Due to a scheduling conflict, they’ll be stepping in for Bree and James to lead our Salsa lesson today. They’ll also be showcasing their incredible talent with a special Kizomba demo! Britta grew up as an ice dancer and performed internationally with Disney before finding her passion for Salsa and Kizomba. Nathan has been dancing for over 15 years and is a founding member of KSBK. Well-versed in Latin, Afro, and many other dance genres, he is best known for his signature stepping style in Urban Kiz. With more than a decade of teaching experience, Nathan also leads KSBK’s dance instructor training program in Kelowna. Together, Nathan and Britta share a passion for creating a fun, welcoming environment where everyone can learn, connect, and experience the joy of dancing. We’re so excited to have them join us again! ❤️🔥 See you all today at 6pm @truck59cider -3887 Brown Rd. West Kelowna by @nathanlundgaard
