It’s that time of the year babies….

This is a special one… more than 90 artists will open their studios. I worked on a special project with artist @rongz_c filming hidden architectural treasures of this magnificent warehouse, where I take breaks dancing around. ♥︎

We are opening to the public for the first time (after my solo Chillonaᴼᶠ ᵗʰᵉ ᶠᵒʳᵉˢᵗ ¹⁺² this summer) for all to discover 4 x 4 a documentary series created by @pentimentiproductions pairing a local filmmaker w/ a local artist. At 2.15pm we have the honor to present a Q&A with Artist & performer @itspochop and Harrison Sherrod ♥︎

💎 re~visión ~ Chillona del Bosque 1+2 de Natalia Villanueva Linares en MANA Contemporary Art Chicago

"(...) Tres años después, Chillona, retorna al bosque para su más reciente transformación. Con el agua de lluvia recolectada hace tres años y los secretos nacientes, así como la introducción de la danza en su ser, Natalia imbuye de energías al papel y la tinta, formulando unos pequeños ladrillos contenedores de confesión y tiempo. Así, en Loghaven, Chillona desarrolló su dimensión de soporte, matérico como emocional: su maximización en la monumental y estructura máquina de viento y melodías secretas, y su compresión en bloques de discreción." fragmento de texto de Daniel Bernedo Chávez.

DAY 1: the Opening was absolutely incredible. I still carry the feels of that night with me every time I am asked “how was the show?”

Thankful for all present + future + forever sweet ones, who brought their colors, helped make this moment happen, gifted smiles to strangers, shared their moves on the dance floor by the exepcional DJ @fanita_banana ♥︎

En el programa de hoy, Natalia Villanueva @nati.work artista peruano-francesa, creadora multidisciplinaria de momentos. Nos habla de la historia de su vida, y de su fascinante obra, que tendremos la oportunidad de ver este fin de semana del 19 al 21 junio, en Mana Contemporary. @manacontemporary_chicago

Natalia cree en una poesía hecha de cantidades excesivas de objetos simples que irradian poder. Transmutando objetos encontrados, gastados, viejos o aquellos hallados en lo banal de la vida cotidiana, para mostrar destrucción como una forma de distribución.
