🌚 // 30 + 31 : Two at once to end this really cool challenge which helps me to (re)connect with the decks of my collection. Today I enumerated 197 oracles and Tarot decks in my library 🙌
I am amazed by the wonderful works and the creativity of the artists involved in the world of cartomancy.
.
.
25 years ago we didn’t have all that choice available. The practice of reading Tarots and oracles has developed so much and a lot of information are now springing through the social networks.
It’s a positive and exciting thing but it’s also a challenge to stay focused and not disperse.
.
.
30. Has a haunted house or witch : 5 of Pentacles from the enigmatic Deviant Moon Tarot ~ Patrick Valenza. #usgames (Cropped image to fit in the design). I didn’t guess that this church is haunted but the presence of this oversized 👁 brings a strange feeling about the inhabitants of the place. What about that wandering woman? Maybe she has the reputation of a witch and that church door will probably not open to her.
31. A card that reminds you of your past : 6 of Cups from the Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot ~ Paul Huson. #loscarabeo . Let’s go to a deep past as I choose a card connected to one of my previous lives. At that time, I was a religious who spent his life studying ancient scripture. Intellectual worker, discoverer of the future through the past, he wrote several books. He was, however, unable to speak simply or to think about the simple things of life. He came back to learn about everyday life and to discover the character of the human beings he met without seeing them.

✨ Thank you @boarsofvalor for hosting this cool challenge! It was truly a great opportunity to wake up the decks that were hibernating in the library. May 2023 be filled with joy and enriching experiences 🪷

🌚 // 29. Favourite Moon Card.
This Moon card brings me a feeling of serenity. When you’re a night owl, it’s under the moonlight that you receive the gifts of inspiration and creativity. And by watching at this illustration, we can clearly hear the music they’re playing at this outside confidential concert.

🌚 // 28. Has a domesticated animal.
XV. The Devil.
.
.
Which other card could represent subordination and domestication as well as The Devil arcana?
.
.
This illustration is so funny! I am a sneakers lover and as The Devil card also evokes temptation, I find it so accurate that this Diabolo wears a cool pair of shoes. They reminds me of a pair of boxing shoes I used to wear when I was a 10 y.o girl.
.

Keywords : Bondage, weird experience, subordination, seeming inability to realize one’s goal, temptation, lack of principles, decay.

🌚 // 27. Favourite Wheel of Fortune card.
.
.
This 💎 has a fame story!
The “Tarot of the Witches” deck was originally featured in the popular film “Live and Let Die”, as the James Bond 007 Tarot deck.
“Live and Let Die”, co-produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, is a United Artists release based upon Ian Flemming’s thriller and starring Roger Moore as James Bond.

Keywords : Destiny. Fortune. Luck. Fate.
Can be good or bad depending upon other nearby cards.

🌚 // 26. A card that changes how you see that card’s meaning. 4 of Cups.
.
.
The “Before Tarot” is the result of a very good idea: To represent the Tarot cards just one moment before what is depicted on the traditional #riderwaitesmith Tarot.
This views bring an additional and interesting meaning to read the present message.
.
.
There’s also another deck called the “After Tarot” in which we can see what happens one moment after.

🌚 // 25. A card that is just a work of art : VIII. Justice.
.
.
It’s very complicated to make a choice because to me every Tarot is a work of art. My curiosity never ends when it comes to Tarot stuff and discovering a new deck is always a dive into an unknown art universe with known codes as guides.
.
.
I put this #oop Tarot on sale on Vinted. A lot of people saved the post but no one asked me to buy it. After months, Vinted retrieved the item because I had used an Amazon pix reference for the price.
I never put it again on sale because this Tarot is really a whole work of art! I'm glad it didn't sell because I would have regretted it.
.
.
I love the arcanas interpretation of Marchesi. Some female bodies are too muscular to my opinion, a kind of distorted, and their nude boobs are very bizarre, defying all laws of gravity, but something alive is emanating from the drawings. A very telling Tarot.

🌚 // 24. A card that made you get the deck : Ten of Swords.
.

This is not the more joyful Tarot arcana but I had a crush with this illustration. So much in tune with our contemporary life.

Pix 3 : The “Everything is Fine” extra card in the deck can be used to replace the Ten of Swords. A version of this card with this tagline was the first Lisa Sterle drew for the deck!

🌚 // 23. Favourite Hierophant.
.
.
This Hierophant card is so meaningful to me because it represents a personal experience I share with my Mom @speakwalkbee 📻.
She usually turns on the radio every day to listen to music.
.
.
On several occasions, we have experimented with spiritual transmissions thanks to this radio set. Literally.
We receive guidance, answers to questions, often with a great sense of humour. When this happens, I feel amazed and reconnected. Knowing that material and spiritual worlds are not separated but entangled.
All matter within the universe is intricated in one vast field of universal energy.

🌚 // 22. A card that has a water-dwelling animal : XXI. The World.

The young mermaid has made her way around the world. She ends her journey where she started it.

🌚 // 21. A card that has a ghost : THE FEAR (fear of life and death, fear of fate, fear of the dark).
.
.
THE PROBLEM
You are currently paralyzed and block your vital energies. Part of your soul is defensive and petrified. You dread the task/mission ahead of you.
.
.
THE PATH
- Important encounter on your way.
- Confront your fear of death.
- Accept the small deaths of the ego.
- Now is a good time to start studying with the books of the dead and rituals that address the subject of death.
.
.
THE RESULT OF THE PATH
You are no longer afraid of death because you have faced it. If you have learned to die, then you also have the courage and the strength to be able to live. You have learned to let go.

🌚 // 20. A card that fills you with nostalgia : Queen of Pentacles. This card reminds me of one of the most important movies of my childhood ~ “Dark Crystal”.

(Besides Dune, The Neverending Story, The Tin Drum, Donkey Skin and E.T.)

The creatures around the glowing lady looks so much like The Mystics (urRu).
.
.
The Mystics were a race of natural wizards that lived during the Age of Division. Like the Skeksis, they were offshoots of the urSkeks, personifying their wisdom and spirituality, but lacking their passion and innovation. Despite their separation, there was still a spiritual link between each urRu and Skeksis counterpart, a constant reminder that they were only two halves of the same being. If either was wounded, the other felt the pain and suffered an identical injury. If one died, both died.
.
.
The majority of urRu settled in the Valley of the Standing Stones to live in a dream of peace under the leadership of urSu, though some became nomadic, seeking alternative paths to spiritual enlightenment. Throughout the Age of Division, the urRu mostly kept themselves isolated from the material world, refusing to interfere in the affairs of other races until the time was right.
