I Debated on which part of Mariska’s amazing night of hosting the Emmys that I wanted to post? This shot is from the very end of the show… YES, I watched the entire thing, commercials and all 😂 I stood up and & walked over as close to my TV & looked at this exact scene with her hair pulled back… and was like “YES HER BROWS LOOK PERFECT” 🫶🏻

I’m honestly at a loss for words. 🥹🩷 I JUST DID MARISKA HARGITAY’S BROWS FOR THE EMMYS… and yes, I’m officially fangirling.

I’ve always been a fan of Mariska, but after watching My Mom Jayne, I became an even bigger one. Watching her tell such a personal story about her mother, the iconic Jayne Mansfield, was beautiful, vulnerable and powerful. I’ve probably watched it TEN TIMES and tell everyone, “YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS.” 😂

And somehow, this moment feels a little full circle.

A year or two ago, after a pink photoshoot, people started telling me I reminded them of Jayne. It sent me down a deep dive into her life, and I ended up buying 3 vintage postcards of her. One has been sitting in my studio drawer for over a year.

Then, right before the Emmys, one of my girlfriends who’s a beauty editor asked if I was doing anyone for the show. I laughed and said, “Honestly, I do way more singers than actors.”

And then OUT OF THE BLUE I get a text from Kate:

“Can you do Mariska?”

I ABOUT DIED. 😭

But the best part wasn’t the coincidence or the postcard or even the fangirl moment…

It was meeting MARISKA. 🥹

I got to sit with her, do her brows and experience firsthand what an incredibly warm, kind, gracious and beautiful woman she is. I walked away admiring her even MORE.

Mariska, thank you for trusting me with your brows for such a huge moment. It was truly an honor to be a tiny part of your Emmy day.

I cannot WAIT to watch you tonight.

This is YOUR moment, Mariska. Go do your thing. 👏🏼🏆✨

Happy 48th birthday to my soulmate @natkbb 🩷

I believe that sometimes besties can be soulmates… because there’s no other explanation as to why natalie & I are so in sync. I will think of an apple, and she’ll look at me and say, “Want an apple?” And vice versa, it happens all the time!!! 😂 We both know that we’ve been friends in past lives also because this friendship is magical

Lil story time
She & I met when we were 14… and now she’s 48 TODAY. We met in 9th grade, in dance class (P.E.) and we’ve been besties ever since

Here are some good ole pics of us through the years! 10th grade Homecoming, our 16th birthday, her giving birth to my wonderful godson Alex. Highschool graduation, and all the beautiful, ridiculous, WTF moments in between like Cancun at 21 years old and thankfully most of the other evidence is on actual film 🎞️ aka real photographs not from an iPhone so you don’t get to see the ones we’re taking to the grave😂

We pretty much have our own language at this point

“But did you die?” 😂
“Not today, Satan!” 😈
And of course FYF — FIX YOUR FACE 😂 which SHE came up with for me… because apparently my face needed fixing. A LOT. 😂

We’ve grown up together. We’ve laughed until we couldn’t breathe, cried until there were no tears left, maybe peed a lil 😫built a business together, survived some crazy SHIT together, celebrated our best moments and carried each other through the hardest times

You are my ride or die. My business partner. My sister. My safe place. My person.

Seriously… WHO is blessed enough to say they’ve had a REAL best friend for 34 YEARS?! 🥹🩷 You are one of the greatest gifts of my life, and I will never take you for granted.

You are the kind of magic everyone deserves to have in their life. The person who shows up, stays, loves you through every version of yourself and still says, “FYF” when necessary. 😂

We’ve already lived a whole lifetime together… and somehow I feel like we’re just getting started.
