What a year for the National Dog Show Presented by Purina! Record-setting TV viewership and attendance made this another unforgettable showcase for America’s favorite Thanksgiving tradition — highlighted by “Soleil,” the striking Belgian Sheepdog, who captured Best in Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. This year’s two-hour NBC and Peacock broadcast reached an incredible 24.6 million viewers, making the National Dog Show one of the most-watched programs of the entire holiday weekend. From families gathered after the Macy’s Parade to dog lovers nationwide, Soleil became an instant fan favorite. More than 12,000 people poured into the Expo Center Nov. 16–17, pushing attendance up 11%, matching an identical jump in national ratings. With 13 rings of breed judging, agility performances, therapy dog attractions, and 75+ vendors, it’s no surprise families spent an average of three hours enjoying the experience. As we celebrate another banner year, we’re already looking ahead to something extraordinary: The 25th Anniversary National Dog Show on Nov. 14–15, 2026, featuring a special historical tribute honoring America’s 250th Anniversary — including a reenactment of the 1876 “Exhibition of Dogs,” considered the nation’s first dog show.
