Have you ever walked into a room and, for a moment, forgotten where you were?

That’s the magic of design to me.

Taking something familiar and completely shifting the way it feels through light, sound, movement, animation and atmosphere. Suddenly, the same four walls become something entirely different. Something you want to explore. Something you remember.

This is why I love what I do.

As an Event Specialist at @prolightstyling , I get to be surrounded by creativity and see firsthand how much thought goes into creating experiences @mikesnellentertainment that make people stop, look and feel something.

Last night’s immersive experience with @prolightandsound was such a beautiful reminder of that. I loved being able to step into another side of the industry, experience it for myself, connect with other creatives and build my network along the way.

There’s something so special about creating a space that doesn’t just look beautiful, but makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world.

That’s the kind of design I want to keep creating.

There’s a side of me that most of you have never really seen.

You know me for the early mornings, the gym and the beach. But before any of that, I was just a little girl who couldn’t stop creating. I was always sketching portraits of my family to give as presents, constantly rearranging my bedroom because I needed a fresh space, and dreaming up ideas that only existed in my head.

That little girl never really changed.

I graduated with a degree in Interior Design knowing exactly what I loved, but not knowing where it would take me. Like a lot of people after uni, I felt the pressure to have everything figured out. Truthfully, I didn’t. I just kept showing up, kept saying yes to opportunities, and kept choosing the thing that made me feel most like myself.

Seven months ago, I landed my dream job as an event designer.

Standing inside this bridal shower, a space that had once existed only in my imagination, was one of those moments that quietly changes you. I looked around and thought, this is why I never gave up on that little creative girl.

If you’re in a season where you feel behind, uncertain, or like everyone else has it figured out, please don’t let that make you question yourself. You have so much more time than you think. You don’t need to see the whole path. Sometimes all you need to do is keep showing up, keep backing yourself, and keep following what genuinely lights you up.

For me, choosing my passion also meant choosing myself. Somewhere along the way, I built a life where work doesn’t feel like work. It feels like I get to wake up and do what I love every day. That didn’t happen overnight, and it definitely wasn’t always clear, but I’m so grateful I trusted the process.

I think it’s time I started sharing more of this side of my world. Welcome to the creative side of me. ✨

Baby in Bloom 🍋

Claire’s baby shower in Saint Arnaud, designed and curated entirely by me. A garden-inspired picnic set within a barn-style outdoor space, using soft lemon tones, sage greens and layered florals to celebrate new life. The design was light-filled and considered, with long communal tables encouraging connection and shared moments.

This was my first event designed from concept to execution, and the beginning of many more.

One of my favourite weddings I’ve had the joy of bringing to life.

In collaboration with @styledbyvalentina, the wedding of Christopher & Amy at the @immigrationmuseum_melb unfolded in quiet elegance. A soft ivory palette was chosen to honour the heritage architecture, allowing the light, columns, and textures of the space to breathe. Every detail felt intentional, romantic, and timeless.

Florals @_sassafrasfloral_ , stationery @maziicollection , and @misterbartender_ at our custom bars @prolightstyling, where I’m grateful to work with a team that brings these visions to life.

One day I hope to plan my dream wedding… all Ivory??

I definitely got lost in Wonderland @lakesidepavilion
An Alice in Wonderland–themed night for Bizcap, beautifully curated and styled by the visionary behind it all @the_event_curator. So grateful to work alongside her and my team at @prolightstyling to bring this dreamscape to life. With @strownix finishing the dreamscape beautifully with his flower arrangements and red roses.

Draped rooms unfolded into temporary worlds, each with its own quiet magic. Overscaled florals shifted your sense of scale, making you feel small, like Alice. Every detail considered. A truly special night.

Feeling so lucky to work at @prolightstyling alongside such a talented team. This weekend, we had the privilege of bringing @styledbyvalentina vision to life for a stunning wedding, with @_sassafrasfloral_ florals adding their incredible artistry to every detail. The space was completely transformed @luminare.southmelbourne, utterly unrecognisable, and every element felt purposeful, refined, and immersive.

Spending hours crafting the chandeliers gave me a new appreciation for patience, precision, and collaboration. Seeing them come together above the space made every long hour worth it. Grateful to be part of a team that doesn’t just style spaces but creates unforgettable experiences.

A beautiful transformation at the new @1hotel.melbourne for Sophie & Jay. Behind the scenes with the incredible @the_event_curator, the stylist behind the vision, working alongside @strownix and working @prolightstyling helping bring those ideas to life with their thoughtful draping.

Rich olive drapery met soft pink tones, creating a contemporary yet romantic palette throughout the space.

At its heart, a bespoke huppah, detailed and crafted to honour the ceremony beneath it.

Every gesture considered. Every detail intentional.

A heritage courtyard in Marcus Hill transformed into a theatrical garden for a stunning wedding celebration. Styled beautifully by @weddingsofdesire, with working @prolightstyling bringing the space to life through their soft, dusky-pink draping.

Celebrating the wedding of Andrew & Jacinda at the State Library 💍

We introduced delicate draping @prolightstyling to create a soft contrast against the library’s stunning architecture and rich history. Long tables were thoughtfully styled by @philoxi.styling @blondeflorals to encourage conversation, adorned with a palette of burgundy and soft pinks.

It was an absolute joy to collaborate with such an incredible team, and I was completely inspired by @philoxi.styling breathtaking designs. Truly one of my favourite projects to date.

I’m so excited to share that I’ve recently joined the incredible team at @prolightstyling, pursuing my passion in the world of event design ✨

For my first wedding installation with the team, we transformed the walls of @sunnysideestate.events in Mount Eliza into a soft, Tuscany-inspired backdrop overlooking the water. Draping became a design tool to reframe the architecture, softening structure, warming the palette, and creating an intimate environment for love to take centre stage.

Feeling grateful to be crafting events where emotion leads the design and memories become part of the space itself. Here’s to creating more moments that feel unforgettable, beautifully held within the space ✨
