We're continuing to make space for Indigenous parents to share what raising Indigenous kids means to them, in their own words.

For @natrest, it means raising children who know who they are, where they come from and just how much there is to be proud of.

Because Indigenous voices, stories, culture and joy deserve to be heard and celebrated all year long. 🧡

Exciting news on some achievements and up and coming endeavours🧡

I am proud to share that I have been selected as a 2026 Mastercard Foundation Fellow.

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) and the Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI), has launched the Mastercard Foundation Fellows Program, a new initiative that will support the leadership journeys of more than 1,000 First Nations, Inuit, and Métis youth over the next decade through long-term, culturally grounded support.

Through the Fellowship, Indigenous young people will have the opportunity to chart their own leadership paths, strengthen Indigenous representation in decision-making spaces, and help shape the future of their Nations, communities, and Canada.

I was asked to take part in the official launch of the program and sat on a panel taking about my experience in leadership as an Indigenous youth!
What an incredible experience and I am looking forward to what unfolds from this program! by @natrest
