Used the sad music cuz I’m just missing ya 😩😭 the Fellows retreat was life changing. Being on the land, in ceremony, and just laughing together was so healing. The hope that you young ones gave me was such a gift. This was the embodiment of wahkohtowin. All of these lovely humans made this trip so special, and I’m very much missing them all. I’m so grateful we get to be a part of this @mastercardfoundation program together, and I’m counting down the days until I see you again. Kipatahotin.

We're continuing to make space for Indigenous parents to share what raising Indigenous kids means to them, in their own words.

For @natrest, it means raising children who know who they are, where they come from and just how much there is to be proud of.

Because Indigenous voices, stories, culture and joy deserve to be heard and celebrated all year long. 🧡

The Toronto Runway of rezilience fashion show was amazing as always 💥

it’s so good to see creativity and indigenous fashion, artists represented in a very good way.

Loved seeing people from my Rez Six Nations as designers and Models paving the way for our next generation to dream big and move forward - Proud to be Haudenosaunee / indigenous 🪶

So many people asked “why aren’t you on stage” or “I was waiting for you to come out” 😂 I do so many fashion shows in the spring time and fashion weeks etc it’s nice to be attending and having fun seeing people from all over come to celebrate indigenous excellence. This is the one fashion show I just be attending and meeting models & natives from all over turtle island 🌎

We’re always coming up as indigenous people and it’s so beautiful to see our culture and values represented on the runway & shows in the big city ⚡️

Join us in the heart of the city, for this powerful celebration of Indigenous culture featuring the highest level of showmanship among Women’s Jingle Dress dancers from across Turtle Island, with live music from Smoketrail Singers.

Thank you so so much to all my supporters, family and friends who believed in me, and to a big thank you to an elder in my community who pushed me to apply for Miss Indigenous Canada!! 🩷 This experience has been one for the books!! I’ve made forever friends, learned so much more about myself and I hope I made my Mi’kmaq communities proud 🩷

The AES Youth Council had the opportunity to attend the Elder and Youth Gathering at Nipissing University in North Bay on August 4th and 5th. 🌿

Our youth spent two meaningful days learning, connecting, sharing, and listening to the teachings and stories of some amazing Elders and Knowledge Keepers. It was a beautiful opportunity to strengthen relationships, learn from those who carry important knowledge, and create lasting connections with other youth.

Miigwech to all of the Elders, Knowledge Keepers, organizers, and youth who made this gathering so special. We are grateful for the teachings and look forward to carrying them forward. ❤️
