A little wearable art. A whole lot of woman. Can we just take a moment to appreciate these GORGEOUS handmade earrings?!

Today I’m showing some love to my talented friend Natalie, @nattymagoo, a Métis beadwork artist based in Manitoba.

This is actually my SECOND custom pair from Natalie, and there’s a reason I keep coming back! I love being part of the creative process, from choosing my colours to deciding on the perfect length. She turns my ideas into something uniquely me.

And the DETAILS! The female silhouette, the intricate beadwork, the creativity behind every little bead. These aren’t just earrings. They’re wearable art!

One thing about me? I’ll ALWAYS be a cheerleader for creative people doing their thing!

We had the honour of touring NRK Sapmi today. It’s the Sami-language division of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), providing news, radio, television, and online content for and about the Sami people.

The building is designed so well. They only have 60% desks for the amount of people that work there because the idea is that everyone floats around. There is no designated desk area for one specific person and they all have lockers for their belongings. So you can imagine that the space is very Zen. There isn’t a lot of clutter which I appreciate. Because when you have a lot of clutter, it creates mental clutter.

They have breakout rooms where you can do Zoom calls or even just have one-on-one conversations. These little pods are soundproof as well. They’ve designed everything to have a feeling of nature so the colours are all chosen specifically to bring the outdoors in. I think this is a genius way to work. It means that you have more collaboration between departments and it’s such an easy way for natural conversations to happen.

They also have a really cool creative room. You’ll notice by the colourful paint that it’s meant to spark joy and inspiration. They even have a doodling table. I want a doodle! Learning so many valuable things already. So lucky to be here! 🇳🇴 taken in Karasjok by @nattymagoo

Received my star blanket today for years of service with APTN. I was fortunate enough to pick out my colours and the hummingbird. Hummingbirds signify joy, healing, resilience, and adaptability across many cultures, often acting as messengers of hope, love, and positive energy. Due to their incredible energy and, in some cases, migratory habits, they are seen as symbols of stamina, independence, and the ability to overcome challenges.

Receiving a star blanket brings good dreams, prosperity and protection. The star does not only represent the Morning Star but it’s also known as the Creator’s Eye, therefore when the Creator is with you, covering you, you are forever safe.

I am very fortunate to work for such an amazing organization with people that I absolutely adore. I know the work that we do is important ensuring people stories are told and heard and I take that very seriously! 20 plus years and more to come! by @nattymagoo

I’m not the same person I was when 2025 started and I mean that in the best way. 🤍

This year taught me so much about who I am and what I’m capable of.

🔘I learned that I’m determined 💪
That I make things happen even when it feels impossible.

🔘That I’m brave. Starting a new relationship, a new life, a new job… all of it is scary. But I showed up anyway.

🔘I learned that confidence isn’t something you wait for, you build it. Fake it if you have to. Eventually things click, and the confidence catches up. ✨

🔘Dating in 2025? Hard. Exhausting. Humbling. 😳
But don’t give up! There *are* good men out there. Trust me, I did the legwork.

🔘Most importantly, I learned that we only get one life. There’s no prize for staying miserable. If a marriage, a job, or any part of your life isn’t right it’s okay to change it. It’s okay to choose yourself.

🔘Romantic relationships come and go. Family can be complicated.
But friendships? They’re the glue. My friends anchored me this year, and without them, I couldn’t have been half as brave as I was. 🫶

I’m heading into 2026 with more hope than I’ve felt in a long time. Things are finally falling into place and I wish that kind of hope for all of us. 💕✨ Love you all xo

I need to rehome my dog. Since we moved into the condo, he barks anytime I leave. And because we share walls with other people that is not going to work. We tried a bark collar and it helped with the barking, but apparently he whines and howls all day, which is distracting to my neighbors. They were very nice about it, but I don’t think I can keep the dog living in this condo.

He is a fantastic dog. He walks really well. I take him on two walks a day. He’s very calm when we are home. He just needs a place where he can be with people all day because that’s what he was used to before we separated. Unfortunately, I work away from the home and I’m not home a lot so it’s just not the same environment he was used to when he had someone home all day.

Please let me know if you know anyone who can take him in. This is not what I want, but unfortunately, I don’t have much choice in the matter. I don’t want to be disruptive to my neighbours. by @nattymagoo

I have never been diagnosed but based on everything I know about myself, I’m sure I have ADD. As the doctor says, this is an extremely genetic disorder and it’s no shock that both my kids have been diagnosed. (One very recently) I’m so happy they have the tools they need to help bring out their brilliance. I always studied so hard in school, but felt like it was so hard to retain and memorize. I wonder if I had some of these options if my life would have been different? You still hear people say really ignorant things about ADD and ADHD. I just wanted to post this video that I found on TikTok because I think it is profound and makes people understand that people with ADHD or ADD are not stupid. Our brains are just different. Not worse. Not defective. Different. by @nattymagoo
