HELLO to all you tattoo enthusiasts, flower sniffers & grass touchers ~ this is a little intro post. i’ve never done one, and i wanna take a second to say hello ~ i’m natalie (she/they)- you can also call me nat or natty. i’m 34 years old and was born & raised in north tx, currently residing in austin. i did my first handpokes in high school and picked it up again in 2019. before i became a full time tattooer, i worked 5 yrs as a server/bartender and 8 yrs in nonprofit & local government. i now co-own a private studio @twinkle.ranch with my dear friend & work wife @cowgirlufo💞 i enjoy all kinds of artmaking, crafting, backpacking, birdlooking, touching plants, softly swaying or thrashing around to live music, and boppin’ around with my friends and my sweetie. i believe in a future without capitalism & imperialism— where everyone is cared for & lives interdependently, in harmony with land, and without fences or cages. it’s important to me to do what’s in my power to move the needle toward that utopia! to one small end of that, i volunteer on the core team of @austin_food_forest, where we grow food, medicine & community. you have a standing invite to come check it out!🌿 i treasure each tattoo session. across the spectrum of intention— from fun, lighthearted doodles to pieces that carry deep meaning or memories of a loved one — i am honored to decorate a little piece of your body and share that space with you. big gratitude for your trust, support & love over the last few years ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 #tattooartist #tattooer #austintattooer #austintattooartist #atxtattoo #handpoke #stickandpoke #austintattoo #austinhandpoke #atxhandpoke by @nattytoos
FREE PALESTINE 🍉 END THE OCCUPATION 🫒 NO MONEY FOR GENOCIDE 🔑 holding the people of palestine in my heart every day. mourning their suffering. sending love to all my buds with ties to this part of the earth. raging over US govt support of genocide & apartheid. shaken by the extreme cognitive dissonance of so many. resolving to stay engaged. don’t do nothing about palestine! there are actions you can take every day! (the ex-social worker in me had to make a resource list- see below & my linktree for that)~ 🌞 call & email your city council: ask them to sponsor the ceasefire resolution passed by the human rights commission in november - @austinforpalestinecoalition has a google doc with all the info you need (austin-specific: but you can do this in your city too!) 🌞 call your US reps and senators (5 calls app is helpful for this): ask them to sign on to cori bush’s ceasefire resolution & oppose any legislation giving $ to isr@el 🌞 send e-sims to gaza (@mirna_elhelbawi for info) 🌞 boycott, divest, sanction: bdsmovement.net 🌞 get involved locally- attend actions, stay up to date, build community with folks who have shared ideals (in austin, follow @austinforpalestinecoalition @psc_atx @jvpaustin) 🌞 bear witness & share footage direct from gaza & occupied west bank (@wizard_bisan1 & @motaz_azaiza are journalists you can start with). 🌞 learn: keep reading lit, watching films & listening to podcasts & audiobooks about palestine. there are tons of lists out there already, but one resource i want to share specifically is a website my partner found back in october debunking myths re palestine. its so well-written and helpful. linked in my bio. 🌞 create: write, make art, sing, play your instrument, cook- offer your talent & voice to bring broader attention & keep up the momentum & endurance for palestine. 🪡🧵 i created this art digitally, inspired by the beautiful practice of palestinian tatreez embroidery. i have a lot of thoughts swirling more broadly on tatreez and culture and colonialism, but mostly i’m learning and admiring. @badancollective is a nice place to look around & learn if you’re interested 🧵🪡 by @nattytoos
tree rings for meranda! we built off a design i made for a flash day & expanded it to fill the space between some existing tattoos. thanks for getting this one from me 🌱🌳🪾⏳ handpoked at @twinkle.ranch in austin tx by @nattytoos
handpainted shirts 🌀🌞🌜 scroll for info on each one! pricing is $32-$42 each, sliding scale/pay what you can. local pickup at my studio on 5th/35 or will ship it to ya for $7. dm me if you’re interested in any of them or have questions! if you like a design but want it on a different shirt color or size lmk! i have more selection or you can give me a shirt to paint. i’m also open to painting any flash design on my website. all but one of these are 100% cotton, LA apparel sample or imperfect stock. i closely inspected the imperfect pieces to find the issues, which are noted. sizing is a wonky thing so i’m wearing each one as an additional reference. thanks for looking ❤️‍🔥 Original sold but i have more blanks of this shirt so I can paint another :) - Moon! shirt is size 2XL. handpainted on LA apparel imperfect stock. this is a baby rib shirt so you can expect some cracking on the paint when it stretches— if you feel picky about that, i would recommend the looser tees vs form fitting crop (let me paint you this design on a different shirt☺️) Original sold but I can paint for you on another tee that you can crop yourself — rain lilies! shirt is size S. handpainted. purchased from LA apparel sample stock. in these photos you can see chalk details in the outlines which i neglected to “erase” before photographing but these are not permanent/i already removed them!! Available — more rain lilies! handpainted on LA apparel imperfect stock (there are “dye errors” on the front of the shirt). shirt is size S see those dark little horizontal lines? those are the dye errors. i find them to be whatever/not that noticeable, especially with the painting! imo they are much more noticeable in this pic than IRL, they sort of just look like shadows/wrinkles. Available — more rain lilies!! handpainted on a thrifted tee that i also tie dyed. no tag but i’d call it a S/M? would be a cute cropped shirt too if you wanted to chop it Available — original sold but i can paint another — fountain! handpainted on LA apparel sample stock. shirt is a size M. Original sold but I can paint on a different shirt— more rain lilies! handpainted on LA apparel sample stock. shirt is a size by @nattytoos

I want 🧊 out of austin and everywhere because immigrants are my neighbors & friends, and they deserve the opportunity to live & work without fear of being thrown in a cage and sent away from their community. They don’t deserve to have their lives upended at the whims of politicians and culture wars orchestrated by the ruling class. I am joining dozens (let’s make it hundreds??) of artists in Austin who are collectively taking action against ICE terror as a part of @austinartistsagainstice ! AAAI will be hosting fundraiser shows monthly, and the first one is this Sunday from 4-8p at @hitwatx ! (scroll to the end of this post to check out the flyer). P.S. my absolute angel of a friend @latinaturner_ will be performing with the talented @iluvrulitos at this first show so even more of a reason to come 💚 Please consider making a donation today to the @austinmutualaid Immigrant Support Fund (🔗 in bio). Better yet, sign up for a monthly donation. Even $5-$10/month adds up! If you sign up for a monthly donation of $5 or more, or make a one time donation of $10 or more, I’ll send you a sticker!! dm me your addy, sticker preference (last slide) & a screenshot of your donation. Finally: I encourage you to join AAAI if you’re an artist of any medium in austin! Tattooers let’s show up 👀👀👀 comment here or dm me if you’d like me to add you to the AAAI group chat! You can get involved by showing solidarity with a post like this, hosting a flash day, raffling your art/services and/or selling your art for donation. 🧊 OUT OF EVERYWHERE! by @nattytoos
sun puppet i crafted for @austinfoodforest’s solar cookout/fall equinox event in september 🌞 swipe for some process pics! ⋆˚꩜｡ process: • i created a base shape by taping cardboard shapes together (i am a cardboard scavenger, always keeping my eyes peeled for large pieces on recycling day.. found some extra thick, large pieces which worked well for making a more solid base) • i taped a bunch of pieces of wadded up scrap paper to the base (shipping paper i had saved worked well for this!) • hot glued torn paper grocery bag pieces over the paper wads to make a smoother surface • added two paper mache layers to the front & back • wadded & taped more paper to make the face shapes • another layer of grocery bag pieces over the shapes • another layer of paper mache over that • paper clay layer over the front of the puppet (shoutout @ultimatepapermache recipe) • paint • sealed with polyurethane varnish (i used decoart duraclear ultra matte) • duct taped a broom handle to the back & covered shoutout @austincreativereuse for having all the random reuse craft supplies i needed!! and big shoutout to the sun!!!🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 we love u baby by @nattytoos

Verified support fund for Wilber Garces Perez 🌹 The family and attorney have approved this paypal fundraiser. There is an unverified gofundme floating around- please only give to this verified fundraiser. www.tinyurl.com/wilberfund. direct link is also in my bio! ~~~~~~~ On September 20, Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a 28 year old Venezuelan man was shot and disappeared by 🧊 in North Austin. He was taken to the hospital and released into 🧊 custody 4 hours after being shot in the back by 🧊 agents. His wife and attorney were denied information and access and are still seeking proper medical treatment and Wilber’s immediate release. We are raising funds to support Wilber, his wife, and his family as they navigate this traumatic situation. Donations will help with immediate family needs, legal support, and any unexpected costs that come along with this. Please donate if you can, and share this fundraiser widely. Every contribution and every share helps Wilber and his family know they are not facing this alone. by @nattytoos
