The Texas Alligator Lizard (Gerrhonotus infernalis) the second largest lizard species here in Tx. Started seeing some breeding behavior recently so I’m hoping for the best. Some of my favorites here in the collection.

On the Masticophis front I really don’t think it gets much better than this to be honest. Ruthven’s Whipsnake (Masticophis schotti ruthveni) Cameron county Tx locale. by @naturalistherps

Figured I’d take this guy out for a quick photo sesh while cleaning out his tub. For those that haven’t been around these guys they tend to play dead for like 30secs then all hell breaks loose and they sprint and around and will nip at almost anything. Some updated photos of my Central Texas Striped Whipsnake (Masticophis taeniatus giardi), he’s starting to darken up a bit as he’s starting his shed cycle. Been feeding well and just a really impressive example of this species. by @naturalistherps

Pretty cool getting a call for a large bullsnake! Unfortunately the homeowner didn’t want to keep it around probably best since it was found in a new housing development. Tarrant county, Tx. by @naturalistherps

Some updated photos of my female Eastern Tiger Snake (Telescopus semiannulata). I unfortunately lost my male a few months back but am thankful to be working with a few other dedicated keepers to bring in a larger import of these guys in (18 total), which will bring my group here to 1.2. Hoping among the four of us folks there will be some solid captive bred animals around here in the next 4-5 years.

Updated photos of my female Neotropical Coachwhip (Masticophis mentovarius) for those of you that like that sort of thing. If all goes well I’ll be pairing her up next spring.
