Enjoy Real Milk? 🥛
Check out my Stooksbury Creamy Dairy Farm Visit! Part 1 of 2

It was great to be able to go to a small, dairy farm in East TN with my little girls recently. It's situated in such a beautiful area! Not much had been done with the back roads after the last snow, but we got there because everyone needs their milk! 😄
We sell their milk to our TN customers, and have other similar milk available to our out of state customers. And if you're in the Jefferson City area, check out this farm when they're open! Delicious milk!

Here's one of the BEST WAYS to SAVE MONEY on fresh produce!

Buy "field-run", "seconds grade", and "imperfect produce"!There might be external blemishes and small spots that will need to be cut out, but inside it's every bit as delicious as the very pretty number one grade fruit.

So much produce is graded out by large packing houses because large grocery stores, and many of the customers that shop there, only want the perfect looking fruit for their displays. This means that a lot of wholesome, nutritious produce ends up being composted instead of going to people to enjoy.

Because of all this produce being taken out of the food system, companies have to raise their prices on the first grade fruit, so that in a season they make enough to cover their expenses.

But we do our best to make produce that's healthy and nutritious, even if it's not as pretty, available to our customers at a reasonable price. So, check out the website in our bio if you would like to learn more about us!

What a beautiful load of produce we got in from Englewood recently! And YES... Ginger and Turmeric grow fine in TN. Who would wave thought that these grow well right here in TN?
Raymond Martin sure knows how to grow them well, and it's fun to be able to sell something a little different. 🙂

Also the peppers are so beautiful right now!

It's done! One of the biggest days of sorting we have ever done... especially considering our limited crew today of the faithful few. 😊
Our longtime driver is off to do deliveries in the Carolinas this week... with a lot of food on board!
But in order to get this solid load out the door, 3 people worked a half day in the warehouse Saturday, 1 person did a half day today, and 4 people did a 12 hour day today. So that's about the equivalent of 5 people each working a 12 hour day to put numbers on all the boxes in a semi-truck load... which is a lot!
But I'm very proud of my warehouse team today and grateful for their dedication to get it done so that we can stay on schedule this week. There's a lot of beef on this load, and we especially want to make sure that gets to customers!

$1000+ on a FUEL FILL UP??? 😳

Yeah, when you're putting in 200 gallons of fuel into a semitruck at $6+ a gallon, it adds up quickly!
They should start giving an option at the pump to finance it for 36 months. 🤪

Anyways, this fuel price that has risen from $3.40/gallon in the winter to over $6 is very challenging to work with. We're making the best of it, but I hope it comes down soon and the world find true peace in Jesus.

Labor Day = The Day You Are to Work the Hardest!

One thing that is a perk about driving the semi truck to a lot of different states is that sometimes it lines up to see my family while I am out and about. Last week, the route took me near to my parent's place and I was able to meet up with my mom again. She snapped this picture and I just wanted to post it. 😊 by @naturallyadeal

Tasting the first apples of the 2026 Season! It's a memorable event. 😄
We are getting appels in from TN right now and we hope to get some in from PA. Though they lost about half the crop in PA due to cold. So those will be more limited.

I mean... those brown eyes, that inquisitive nature... who doesn't like cows? 😁
Growing up around cattle on my grandfather's dairy farm has made cows my favorite animal. One thing I like about them is how curious they are. And when you learn how to treat them well and what to expect from these (usually) General giants, you can get up close to them to get videos like this.

This type of cow is called a Jersey. And it's very good as a dairy cow when you want higher butterfat (cream) in your milk. They seem to be one of the most popular for small homesteads.

If you have fruit scraps sitting around in your kitchen, do this instead of throwing them away. 🍑

This is FFJ (fermented fruit juice), a Korean natural farming method that turns leftover fruit scraps into something useful like syrup, vinegar, and even fertilizer for the garden. It’s one of the recipes featured in our family’s new book, The Nourishing Asian Homestead, and it’s officially available for preorder now! 📚⬆️

The book shares our family’s story, how we got into homesteading and started using Korean natural farming methods, made simple enough that anyone can do it with things they already have in their kitchen.

Comment “FFJ” and I’ll send you the preorder link! 👇
