So it’s a whole 2 years since I started taking photographs of wildlife and opened this page. 200 posts and 5000 followers later it’s time I re-introduced myself.

I’m Greg — a nature photographer based in beautiful Kent, UK. You’ll usually find me wandering through woods, coastlines, and marshes with my camera in hand.

Just messing about with some reels. It’s true though, I’m a photographer and I did take that photo. Lovely juvenile cuckoo feeding on caterpillars before the long flight to Africa. Hopefully I get to see this one return again next year. Keep safe little one.

I make no apologies about posting so many photographs of my favourite little bird. I still feel my heart beat faster when it arrives on a perch. Then I barely breathe until it leaves. Anyone else get excited when they see Kingfishers?

Meet the Dalmatian Pelican: powerful, ancient, and vulnerable. Dalmatian Pelicans (Pelecanus crispus) – the largest flying birds in Europe and one of the rarest pelican species in the world. Once declining rapidly, their survival now depends on healthy wetlands and conservation efforts. Their presence is a symbol of hope for wetland conservation. Majestic and truly unforgettable.

Back in January, I had the incredible privilege of spending a few days with these magnificent Dalmatian Pelicans in Greece. Watching them in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience and a reminder of just how special our wild places are.
Even more inspiring is that they’re a true conservation success story—a powerful example of what can happen when people come together to protect wildlife.
I hope this glimpse into their world inspires you as much as they inspired me.

A juvenile Cuckoo, busy stocking up on caterpillars before making the long journey south to Africa.

For a few precious moments, it was just me and this remarkable bird sharing a quiet moment before the light disappeared.

Tell me you’ve been to Mull without telling me you’ve been to Mull. Had a great week doing what us nature photographers do - get up early and take thousands of photos.

Not enough words to describe how stunning these White Tailed Eagles are - it’s all been said many times before. But it’s all true.

The Sparrowhawk — one of Britain’s most skilful and agile birds of prey.

Built for speed and surprise, Sparrowhawks use their short, rounded wings and long tails to manoeuvre through woodland and gardens, chasing smaller birds with incredible precision.

They’re often spotted briefly as a blur through the trees, so getting a moment like this is always special.

Nature is full of incredible hunters — sometimes right on our doorstep.
