• October Wrap Up •

What a wonderful month it was. Most of the books were very enjoyable and I couldn’t put a lot of these books down when I was reading them. Now that the colder months have really started, sitting cozingly with a book is the best way to spend the days.

My favorite books this month were both ARC’s I read. The 1st one was Faking Seasons Bright by K.M. Gillis, this book just made me laugh so much, and I had such a good time.
The 2nd one was Rivalry Brewing by Walker Rose, and i’ve been excited for this book since i’ve read the first book of the series. A grumpy cowboy with a grumpy veterinarian is honestly all you need.

Question: What was your favorite book of October? by @naylahsjournal

In the past two weeks, I continued series. I am up to date for three of them, and for one, I have to read one more book to finish the series. Slowly on my series list is getting smaller, and that feels really nice because my started series really got out of hand. by @naylahsjournal

It’s my absolute weakness when the mmc is obsessed with the fmc, and only has eyes for her. He was down bad for her, and it was so clear that Austin would do anything for Bailey. The yearning was everything, and the banter between the characters really made me smile, laugh, and kick my feet. They are the absolute best.

I honestly couldn’t stop reading. The story was so well written, and everything you need is in it. Two hockey players, fake dating, family drama, an ex who keeps showing up, and two people who fall deeply in love with each other. It’s such a in depth story, and I was feeling everything along with them.

Everything about this story just made me happy, the characters, the banter, a strong fmc, a golden retriever mmc who falls hard and would do anything for the woman he loves. Swoon!

I wanna thank @kmgillisauthor for the opportunity to read about Austin and Bailey early by gifting me an ARC. I really had the most wonderful time reading their love story ♥

I had a great reading month. All the books I read were fun, and I had such a good time.

My favorite books were The Wild Card by Stephanie Archer, and i’m now so sad that the Vancouver Storm is over. Also, Like Pineapple On Pizza by Amber Mae was a favorite. This book really surprised me and just gave me all the feels. by @naylahsjournal

This was such a sweet story. Maisie and Austin get to know each other through text messages first, but then meet in real life as well. They don’t know they have been chatting before, and Austin needs a tutor. He heard from his professor that Maisie is a good one. Austin needs to pass a certain test otherwise he’s not allowed to play hockey.

Along the way, Maisie and Austin get to know each other better, and a sweet friendship begins. Maisie is a loner, quiet and mostly on her own, while Austin is the life of the party and very popular. They are two opposites, but they fit perfectly together.

I loved how their friendship bloomed and that they started to realise that they felt safe with each other. Love started to bloom, and slowly on, they started to get closer and closer. They were both very strong and fighting for their own dreams, but also very supportive of each other.

They really warmed my heart, and I couldn’t stop smiling. They were so adorable together, and I just wanted to keep reading about them.

• Week 35 + 36 Recap •

Another good two weeks of reading and enjoyed all the books I read.

I had two 5⭐ reads. In Her Own League was absolutely amazing, but i’m really sad now that the Windy City world is over 😢 but i’m definitely excited for Liz’s new series coming next year. And Like Pineapple On Pizza really surprised me, and I really wanna know when Amber Mae’s next book will be coming, because I need it 😂 by @naylahsjournal

• August Wrap Up •

August was a wonderful reading month. I read 15 books, well, actually 16 because the last book was 2 novella’s in a collection. I don’t think I ever read that much in a month.

My favorite books of the month were In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde, Untroubled Heart by Emme Goode and Wild Card by Elsie Silver. I’m honestly not surprised that these were my favorites of the month because i’m a huge fan of all of these authors.

Let’s hope September is gonna be this great as well. by @naylahsjournal

Another month where I chose many books of series i’ve already started and wanna get through. Except one. This one is a book I have on my 26 in 2026, and I have neglected that challenge completely. Whoops. But that is mostly because the books I still need to read on that list are new series, and I don’t really wanna start any 😂 by @naylahsjournal
