The Bitter End I*
Berlin, Madrid
2026

*I always find it tricky to decide which image sits in last place in the set. It needs to have a certain atmosphere to it that helps close the viewing experience. But it also is the least likely to be seen by anyone, and so ‘banger’ is usually not what they are.
So here’s a post highlighting those poor souls, relegated to The Bitter End.

Time Lost: Phase I

We call the hours spent travelling time lost - minutes surrendered to schedules, time we count against ourselves and won’t get back.
But the accounting is wrong. While the external clock holds, something else loosens. Inside the hours we think we’re losing, a different time opens up - slower, more porous, closer to thought than to minutes.
This series photographs that interior state, and the architecture built to contain it. Stations. Platforms. Steel and glass built around a single instruction: be on time.
The figure in the frame is somewhere else.

2nd Place
Berlin
2026

It’s always tricky choosing which image gets first place in the carousel. Often I personally prefer the second image but it’s not quite right to lead for ‘algorithmic’ reasons. So here’s a little set celebrating those frames unfairly relegated to second place. taken in Berlin, Germany by @nburdy

September, 2026
London, Dorset, Hermanus, Cape Town

This was a huge transition month for me, personally and photographically.
Personally: moving countries is a full blown PIA.
Photographically: context, locations, subject matter, light, all in flux - and it shows from this set.

I am trying to take it all as a learning experience, and enjoying the challenges. Onto October, and hopefully some more ‘settled’ feelings.
