Closing a beautiful chapter
Wow wow wow - a chapter comes to an end. Nearly 7 years of Berlin. From a boy to a man.
I came to Berlin struggling and was blessed with the best work experience of my life. Working the whole time for @mtmgym was truly a blessing.
I leave with beautiful memories, amazing new friendships and the feeling that I can always come back.
Thanks to all my friends and everyone, who made this time special. You’ll not be forgotten!

Off to a new chapter with the love of my life.
See you in Aus‘ baby 🇦🇺

Saturday, 26 September’s gallery walk was the last exhibition day for @capetownphotofest and featured literally as many locations as we could squeeze in.

First up was @whatiftheworld_gallery where we saw photography, sculpture and painting but also a larger question around what lace is and what it could be.

Next we stepped inside Cape Town’s oldest optometrist to visit @mullersgallerycpt , featuring Fleeting Glimpses by Karina Turok & Karen Stewart: a photo journey of a breast cancer survivor.

We then sauntered (quietly) around @central_librarycpt to visit their group photo exhibition, featuring: Poetics of the Strange by Mahefa Dimbiniana Randrianarivelo & Le Paon atypique; Harmless: to be proven by Jingyin Che; 030717-250325 by StreetMax.

Finishing a little earlier than expected at the library, we headed down the road to @thetutulegacy for I Witnessed This, a group exhibition.

On our way back to the meeting point we decided to capitalise on time and did an impromptu pop in at @ultraviolet_gallery (a variety of exhibitions are currently up) and then finished off with a truly standout photo exhibition by Tony Meintjies and David Goldblatt at @alliancefrancaiseducap.

Following the Editor’s Choice, we are pleased to present the Curator’s Selection — Outstanding Works, featuring 12 photographs selected from 520 submissions from 83 countries.

These photographs stood out for their strong compositions and distinctive approaches to minimalist street photography, exploring geometry, negative space, light, shadow, color and the relationship between the human figure and the urban environment.

Each photograph brings a different visual language to the selection while showing the many possibilities of simplicity in street photography.
