Officially finished my CDT Southbound Thru Hike on October 8th
~3,000 miles from Canada to Mexico in 107 days

Experienced an adventure of a lifetime. Saw amazing places and met amazing people. Very grateful for all the support I received along the way from family, friends, strangers, and especially my girlfriend @kyliemjulian by @ncmalibu

Silver City, NM to Lordsburg, NM. Road walked out of Silver City and made my way to @ravenswingfarm which was an awesome last sidequest. Amazing vibes with great company and great beer. Set back out on trail and climbed Burro Peak, my last peak on trail. Hiked into Lordsburg, did my last resupply, ate a huge burrito at Los Victors, then hit trail again for the final stretch to the border. by @ncmalibu

Day well spent in Silver City, NM. Reunited with Chuck for the first time since Breckenridge, CO. Chuck had already finished the trail and completed his Triple Crown so we got to celebrate with good food and some disc golf! by @ncmalibu

Gila River Range - This may be my favorite part of trail. Hiking into the canyon and through the Middle Fork Gila River. Best described as a psychedelic cathedral towering overhead. It took a lot of route finding and I probably crossed the river about 200 times. However, It’s been quite dry in New Mexico for this time of year so the river was low which made it easier in spots. I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure. by @ncmalibu

Grants, NM to Pie Town, NM. This was a section of sidequests for me. First, I visited Lobo Canyon to see ancient petroglyphs and it was totally worth it! I was astonished at the detail of these carvings. Once I got back to trail, I eventually passed by a small cliff dwelling site where old handprints were visible. This felt sacred to stand in the same spot where native people resided thousands of years ago. Wandering off trail again I visited the Dittert archeological site. This was built and inhabited by ancestors of modern Pueblo Indian people between A.D. 1000 and 1300. After these adventures, I continued on to Pie Town where I stayed at the notable Toaster House hostel and of course ate pie! by @ncmalibu

Cuba, NM to Grants, NM. Left Cuba and was welcomed with beautiful desert wilderness. So many cool features and wildlife. The piñon pines were in full swing and it was a treat to eat so many pine nuts. Caught some beautiful sunsets and cowboy camped under the stars. Climbed Mount Taylor, the last 11k ft peak. Walked straight into Grants and stayed the night for some much needed rest. by @ncmalibu
