“Artifice Dissolves” cover art for @dissimulatorofficial 🦾 Very excited to reveal the artwork I made for Dissimulator’s sophomore album! Their world building on this album provided a great opportunity to push myself as far as I could in both ideas and technique, and I am pretty happy with the final result. Conceptually, the artwork examines abandonment of humanity for an infinitely enhanced imitation. An Icarus-like character tears out their brain to trigger a biomechanical transformation from flesh to alloy, alloy to machine, machine to circuitry, circuitry to data. With every step they disintegrate, only to be consumed by the artificial god machine that granted their transcendence. I can barely scratch the surface of the concepts these guys explore on “Artifice Dissolves,” but I sure hope the cover does it justice! “Lower Form Resistance” got me hooked on Dissimulator upon its release, so taking on this project came from a place of extreme respect for the band and their talents. Also I have to mention how stoked I am to have made something released by one of my favorite labels @20buckspinlabel 🔥 “Artifice Dissolves” releases October 2nd on 20 Buck Spin and is available for preorder now! Listen to the first single “Alloyed” to get hyped. 2025, mixed media & digital. #illustration #albumcover #scifiart #dissimulator #noai by @ncmeihoff

All my official artwork released for @thebandghost thus far. 24 works and counting! 👻 My gratitude and respect for this utter spectacle of a band only grows greater with every design. It’s a real honor for my skills to be entrusted to something that means so much to so many people, myself included! Speaking of which, I’ll be exhibiting a gallery of my Ghost art at @brujos_brewing the day of the Portland Skeletour ritual (2/17) from 12-6 alongside fellow Ghost and Brujos collaborator @dezpittman 🔥 So come hang at the Scorched Church (21+) before the show and say hi, extra points if you’re rocking one of these! Thank you to Ghost and @globalmerchservices for the continued collaboration over the years! 2022-2025, mixed media & digital. #thebandghost #illustration #darkart #merchdesign #noai by @ncmeihoff

I hope PEASANT RISING by @netherwilds has been making yall hit the serf stare. I genuinely didn’t know what to expect when I took this project on, but I’m insanely proud of the outcome and have honestly never been this surprised by a record I’ve gotten to be a part of. When I first got to hear it a few months ago, I was blown away by just how purely entertaining it was. I feel like this record can be enjoyed by anyone, even those who don’t skew heavy in their tastes. Because we can all relate to Worm Chewer’s story in one way or another, especially when it’s so expertly told by the talents on PEASANT RISING! Looking back on the process I found this awesome picture of Worm Chewer’s mug mid-render, which I think best encapsulates the handiwork that went into it. I am so grateful to have been a part of this truly one-of-a-kind project. Stream the full album now and get your copy! #netherwilds #albumcover #illustration #mixedmedia #noai by @ncmeihoff

“Artifice Dissolves” cover art process for @dissimulatorofficial An in-depth look from start to finish on how the new Dissimulator album cover was made with acrylic monoprinting, colored pencil and a little digital painting. This posed a rather conceptual challenge of depicting digital elements like pixels and glitches with traditional media, ultimately something I feel paid off in the end! As proud as I am of this artwork, it’s a mere fraction of the mastery present on the album itself. And thus I couldn’t be more stoked for it to represent anything else 🦾 “Artifice Dissolves” arrives October 2 from @20buckspinlabel and is currently available for preorder. Today is also Bandcamp Friday, so it’s a great time to get your copy and support these guys as much as possible. 2025, mixed media & digital. #artistprocess #processvideo #illustration #coverart #noai by @ncmeihoff
